False choice. I can't imagine anyone here is actually rooting against the players we have.

if you had told me three weeks ago that jeremy lin would have 17pts and 8asts in a blowout win over the hawks and i wouldn't be at all surprised... i would have been pretty surprised.

Does anyone recall how bad the Heat looked early last year? Wasn't Spoelstra supposed to fired and players traded? How do they look now? Knicks team is talented enough, hungry enough and intelligent enough to get things going in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in a day. Chemistry takes time.

This team is gonna be BONKERS when they get everyone clicking on the same page. Glen and MDA are doing their thing and tho it seemed like it was teetering on the edge of oblivion, it all worked out for the best. Now if they can have a big time performance tomorrow night that would be FREAKIN AWESOME!!!

Basically either
A) Melo will stop taking low percentage shots and good things will happen or
B) Melo will continue to be an inefficient offensive player and not worth a max contract.

you really covered all the bases there, good insight.

Here's whats crazy, I'm expecting Lin to put up numbers now. I dont bat an eye when he sinks a 3. He has definitely arrived....

i like what i saw from melo and lin. Melo still needs to knock off rust. He has been away and injured most of the year. also i think melo may be a llittle hestitant. i want melo to still be aggressive just as long as he takes good shots

Good win. Now they need to put away the Heat to prove they really love me.

This Is Where It Starts

Anthony is savvy enough to understand if he doesn’t make it work with the Knicks it will be a stigma that follows him the rest of his career. This is a chance for Anthony to show what he’s truly made of, a time to show he can be the kind of player that can handle transition, adversity and high expectations. If he wants his jersey to someday hang in the rafters, this is where it starts.

For people stuck in Carmelo's past, they will hold on to their bitterness like a security blanket, with the fear this Lin/Carmelo/Chandler/Fields core implodes, and miss one of the most fun episodes of symphonic Knicks basketball... since 1973.

the thing about this whole melo thing is that this is totally different for him. he's never been asked to fit in with a team, karl never had the balls to tell him that, he just let him do what he wanted. so now melo is trying very hard to fit in with the team and he's learning where to take his shots and where not. i think so far he's doing a great job and he's only going to get better at it. i think his scoring average will eventually be at 25ppg but it won't be from ball-stopping, it'll be from scoring in all the right situations. it's a beautiful thing.

Beg to differ on the fitting into a team part, Melo did it in 2008 with the Redeem Team in Beijing, but yes different personnel, and he hasn't been with a true, pure point guard since CP3 and Kidd were finding Melo in his sweet spots the summer of '08.

well they are totally different scenarios. i agree he absolutely fit in with the dream team, but i'm just talking NBA.

That's a lot of benefit of the doubt to give a player when in reality we don't know what he was told. The shots weren't falling but I was pleased with the approach Melo took in the last two games. I'd like to see Melo be more of a 19 PPG on 13 shots player and let Lin, Novak, Smith and others do a lot of scoring.

martin - 99 was a great run. We had a stocked lineup from day one. Spree and Camby fought their way off the bench and we dropped the Heat like a bad habit.

99 was exciting. But this year is just nuts. In early February, we were headed to Bolivian. Sinking Fast with no hope and no dreams. The Answer Man was poised to jump ship. Then, BOOM. 99 did not have the sudden epiphany moment of this season.

Nobody saw this coming.

It gets better... We just getting started...
