I dont think so. We are currently at 14 with Baron. You can have 15 on the roster

Knicks currently have 15.

I think one of Bibby/Walker/Balkman gets cut if we sign him.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Don't think so. I think it's Balkman. Bibby gets many non-garbage time minutes and Balkman does not. Balkman looks awful out there and it looks like he does not even give 2 sh1ts!

Balkman has a guaranteed contract for next year. Bye Bye Bibby. Guy is finished.

I think I lament about Bibby in every game thread, but I think Balkman has to go, Bibby at least doesn't turn the ball over, is good to just not **** up terrible 4 minutes a game, and is a more valuable cheerleader being a veteran and all.

Edit: Wow, Balkman IS signed through 2013, ugh.

Haha - I guess that's why he looks like he don't give 2 sh1ts! His contract is guaranteed! YAY!!

I'm torn aswell. But, Smith has proven that he can come up big when it counts in the playoffs as he did numerous times for the Nuggs.

But the crux of it is this: Why worry about the development of our young role players when the goal is to win the championship in the primes of our stars? God only knows how long Amare's knees will hold up, how long he can sustain all-star numbers.

because Shumpdawg is giving me every indication that he's ready to ball at a high level in the playoffs.

At some point you gotta give it to the young guns. They have to develop at some point. What better time than this season? You throw them in that water.

Remember Tayshaun Prince? Guy came out of nowhere and dropped stupid-ill buckets for the Pistons in the playoffs, he locked people down. Shumpdawg can lock people down in the playoffs; defense doesn't choke come high water.

Are u really orangeblobman?

I've seen this mentioned but.now that you ask me directly I will take opportunity to answer this lingering issue, I will tell you no, I am not. When that guy posted here I was a fan of his but unfortunately I do not come close to his talents and charm. I am just me.

NOW I'm sure you are him..

I didnt want this. I would have prefered to see Shump/Fields exclusively at the 2, but JR has skills, can shoot it and he's a sick athlete. I think when Melo's back Walker gets nothing, so its Lin, Fields, Melo, Amear, Chandler with Baron (eventually), Shump, JR and JJ off the bench? No Novak?

Guess coach will figure it out

If its a multi year deal it could mean bad news for Fields after this season unless he's moved to backup SF. I get the feeling that the SG of the future is Shumpert.

If its a multi year deal (doubt it) its for way little $$$. 2.5/year

Make no mistake, he's a better talent that Fields. With that said, you have to bring him off bench as to not disturb the chemistry between Fields and Lin and not to upset Fields confidence. One thing is for sure, our second unit suffers with Lin on the bench. It becomes stagnat. JR gives us another player who can dribble-drive and will provide good scoring punch off the bench

52% FG, 48% 3P FG on ridiculous amount of shots in CBA

I know he put up great numbers, just find it funny that a highlight vid has him missing shots
