Sooner or later you're bound to be right.

I provided clear video and stat proof for why I was highon this kid from the start. It's not true that I always like players we have. You just only remember the ones i've been high on. How about just admitting that I do have a point of view and I do get things right, tho all anyone wants to remember is when I get a season prediction wrong. I haven't been wrong about everything.

I told you that there was nothing wrong with the system and that we just need better PG play...

Your going to break your arm patting yourself on the back. You are right that you went against the draft reports that questioned his basketball IQ. Hopefully it is just a case of his game fitting the nba better. Jorts looks like another sweet second round pickup as well. Also, Jordan has looked good in limited minutes. Believe it!

I love nixluva

He is consistent and loyal and fun to read. The objective is NOT to be right. The objective is to enjoy the ride.

Thats not the point, nixluva has made more meaningful contributions here than anyone out of the doom and gloom crew. So ,with that in mind, Free Nixluva!!

If by meaningful contributions you mean homerific posts then I agree.

Which ones have you not been high on?

1st off I was on this kid BEFORE we drafted him. 2nd I gave my reasons for why I was high on him. I don't always have a feel for a kid before the draft.

I didn't know much about Jordan Hill before the draft but I understood why he was taken. I wasn't high on him after the draft when I saw him looking out of shape and not ready for the biggest debut of his NBA life. I didn't know much about Toney Douglas either but he seemed like a good scorer, just not the PG we needed right away. There have been other picks that didn't stick, but i'm not going to go into every single pick and give a critique of my view on him back when we took them.

I will say that initial approval of the idea of a pick and what role they could play isn't the same as being high on a pick and predicting they canmake a run for ROY like I have with Shump. Look at my sig which shows how I felt about the kid before we started playing.

Hey it's really not about me. It's about the Knicks having a good young player that is having an impact and helping get the team on track, just when we needed it.

You know what I like the moost about you Nix? You are always polite, don't insult people when you post and you never lose faith. We are all hardcore fans here but you are the only one who always stays positive. Hope you keep it that way.

Hilarious response.

And then me:

Let's wait and see how Shumpert plays out. I remember I came home last year and people were absolutely SH!TTING on the Landry Fields pick in the 2nd ROUND. Just be patient. It's going to be a long summer and long non-season. No need to get angry over players you don't know will be good or not.

Thanx Childs2Dudley for posting that link from draft night. The amount of people here who called Shumpert a bust is amazing! Jorts as well. Wow, I almost want to call all these guys out by name but hey why do it? The link is right there. Smh

Childs2Dudley - outstanding research on draft night.

“He has a lot of confidence in me on the court,” Shumpert said of Paul Hewitt. “He wanted to make sure I was ready for it off the court. He didn’t want me to hang around with the wrong guys. He’s always looking out for me. But seeing me now, he’s happy I made the decision I did.”

Paul Hewitt, who grew up in Westbury, New York, would make an excellent choice as Assistant Coach for our beloved Knicks.

Interesting look back. I was all over the pick. Considering where we were picking, Shump was my #1 guy especially after watching the Celts abuse our backcourt in the playoffs...

He had wanted a different guy and was expressing his displeasure when Shumpert was picked. Then somebody talked some sense into him and he sent a follow up tweet with a welcome message. It's little things like that which makes you question his maturity.
