Alright, so after all this analysis, maybe we push the Rangers to seven games and then lose to the Angels in the divisional game.

PreDickshuns threads are only slightly worse than hotstove baseball trade talks. Or fantasy lacrosse leagues. Or in-depth MLS analysis. Or hockey anything.

At least the second round of the playoffs with a 7 game battle. After that anything goes. I think a date to circle on the calendar is when they play Chicago. Good be a potenial playoff oponent just like the good'ol days.

Post-trade they weren't above .500. The above .500 last year was from the Felton, Gallo, etc. crowd.

The way he wrote it - nothing other than the numbers - was why I thought he might be joking. I'm pretty sure he was serious, though, and his prediction isn't that far from mine and a few others'.

The beauty of this offseason is that it has completely killed all those rumours about other players signing or being traded to us. CP3 has gone to the clippers, Deron Williams doesn't want to come here (we don't have any cap space anyways), and Dwight Howard no longer makes sense now that we have Chandler (why trade amar'e for Dwight Howard, when you already have so much money invested in a centre?!)- not having to deal with these constant trade rumours or saving cap space for the following offseason, is a beautiful, beautiful thing- finally we can focus on the team we have NOW instead of sacrifising season for possible future gains.

I would still trade Amare for Dwight though. Chandler can play PF and we would be a defensive nightmare. But that isn't going to happen, ever. I'm glad we can start playing for keeps and don't have to have all those dicusiion about tanking for draft position.
