No brainer now, sign Baron asap. Even with the injury. Dude still has plenty of game, and who knows how NYC will motivate him.

If Grunwald lands Davis and somehow gets Outlaw he is a lock for exec of the year.

Despite his current back issues, BDiddy has logged some impressive numbers during his NBA career:

Baron Davis has career averages of 34.7 minutes/game played, 7.3 assists per game and scoring average of 16.5 points a game while connecting on just over 32% from downtown.

Funny, his career numbers are comparable to C Billups!

It's a no-brainer, guys. We've gotta get him in for a physical and see whatsup!!

barely he was injured. Played in only 35 games whereas Outlaw got a whole season to showcase that he stinks.

2009/10 Indiana Murphy put up 14.6pts 10.2rebs 48%FG 40%3pt & 1steal

seemed like Murphy had some dead legs last year, I hope he was injured. Surprised that he hasn't signed some place if he was 100%.

The Cleveland Cavaliers used their amnesty clause on Baron Davis to set the point guard free after a diagnosis of a bulging disk in his back.

So who would want an injured point guard with a reputation for starting the season out of shape and not having a great work ethic?

The Knicks.

Here is the scoop from Chris Sheridan at Sheridanhoops.com.

At this point, the Knicks so desperately need help with playmaking, they’re hoping a player with a reputation for being out of shape and not putting forth the effort necessary to win can be their missing ingredient. It’s a low risk gamble, so I say why not? And yes, I say that despite the prognosis that he will be out for eight to 10 weeks as he battles a severely bulging disc in his lower back.

Mind you, there are a growing number of skeptics that believe that the severity of his injury is being fabricated in an attempt to scare off would-be bidders. Sources tell me Davis hopes to end up with the Knicks, and if he does, he could be available to go within two weeks.

Baron Davis is not the answer to the Knicks prayers. But, as Sheridan says, they really have nothing to lose. It’s a good gamble for them. But they need to keep looking.

I believe Troy would get the 2yr $5mil room exception and Baron $1.4mil veterans minimum. What are rosters again 15players(12 dressed 3 suits)?
