I think you also have to consider that, Lenny wasn't big on KVH so keeping him was gonna hurt us regardless. I hope TT can step up, I have seen flashes of greatness, but his numbers SUCK!!

He has had some really good games against us because he was playing home, maybe now he canbring it like that every night. The problem with him is that he can do everything on the offense, just he doesn't do anything really well.

He can score when he is close to the basket though, and he is athletic so lets see how it works out. And we always have penny anyway.

Lets just hope Allan Houston comes back healthy. If he does we could really come out of the east.

Steph
H20
TT
KT
Nazir

we have a possibility of 4 guys getting 20 every night!!
I mean even if allan and steph get their 20 a piece,
and TT and KT get their 15, and rebounds, we should be good.

and tt's career avg of 4 rebounds, is horrible. He is 6'10" for Christ's sake. I think steph averages 4 rebounds!

Zeke and Lenny and Steph & KT have gotta thug him out. Let him know we are the knicks, we are in new york, and no one wants to say none of that bull****! You beter play hard, grab boards, block shots and catch some mutha_______ alley-oops when their thrown! You hear me PUNK!!!

That should be the welcome greeting everyone we aquire gets.

I think it will work alot better on TT than it did on KVH. LOL

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Everyone keeps looking at KVH's stats but Basketball isnt about stats. For whatever reason the people on this team did not like him. Once the time went on, the old drama between KVH and Stephon would have come up again. PLUS, and I think this is important, Tim Thomas wont put up as many shots and instead find a role on this team. And next year if Sheed signs, TT can just be an athletic forward as a 5th option. Maybe 4th. Id rather Penny was our third option this year anyways, I think Penny is very hungry to prove to people he's not done. In the end KVH, with all his stats, was unwanted.

The drama betwenn KVH and Starbury was because they were losing. Penny Hardaway has weak knee joints but is a very "SMART" player whatever he does is a plus offensively. If Zeke was counting on him he would have never got TIM THOMAS. Penny has a new start in NY but to think he has what it takes to be an "Real Option" come playoff time is a joke.

This was a no-brainer for the Knickerbockers. THey got better defensively with the two additions. HEy Zeke did say he wanted to become more athelic. Well, he did!!

I really don't think a lot of you have seen Tim Thomas play. Timmy is not only an athletic big man who can run very well, he is also an athletic big man who can score. Yes, with this trade we might have taken a very small step back talentwise. However, we adressed our needs with this trade by improving our frontcourt. Mohammed can also become a force, he has put up very good numbers for the small minutes he has played, and I think he will be a key contributor on this team. Overall, I think we improved as a TEAM with this trade. You guys have to remember that chemistry is sometimes more important than talent. The Blazers have been a very talented team for a number of years, how many titles have they won in the last decade?

WOW, Marbury is 26, TT is 26 And Nazr is 26. Frank Will is 23 and Sweetney is 23 and Demarr J is 24. Zeke really pulled this off by becoming not only athletic buy much younger. Gotta give the dude props.

Also, if TT don't work out, you can always trade him during the offseason.

Lol, doesn't he even realize that we had the same possibility when KVH was here.

Another thing...

KVH averages 2.5 turnovers

Tim averages 1.7 only!

Geeez... Don;t you guys think there's been enough B*tchi*G and moaning about getting rid of Van Horn already. I don't think I saw this much Ruckus when we traded the real talent we had in Spree. It's very telling when despite his solid outings during stretches in his career that no team wants to keep him as a piece of their puzzle for championship hopes... Know why? Cause he is soft... he is a great shooter and a decent rebounder.. but a defensive liability.. who come playoff time will get lit up by a good sf... Imagine him trying to guard Rasheed, Artest, Richard Jefferson, Peja!
Although those are good players who probably won't get shut down by anyone.. at least with Tim we can have a lil confidence that they could be contained as much as was possible with the pieces available to us at the time of this trade...
Long story short... GET OVER IT!

KNICKS RULE!!!!!!!!!!

The drama began over KVH and Starbury not winning but continued on. Did you catch when Philly was playing the Suns once and Steph came over to KVH when he was taking free throws and said "You gonna miss them". After the game he had alot of bad things to say about KVH. Two teams far off and still there was dislike. They made things work for Isiah and Stephs love of the Knicks, but dont get it twisted, Steph couldnt stand him. This would have eventually gotten ugly again. Check how Steph chewed him out during the Dallas game.

Penny def has what it takes to be an option during playoffs. Who hit that huge shot against Indiana? It was Penny. He has big shots in him but he wont have to take them all the time. KVH has shrunken in the playoffs every year he's been in them. TT has the exact opposite reputation. Only showing up for the playoffs. Let TT be quiet while Penny, Kurt, and STeph take a few more shots that KVH would have taken and give us this huge x-factor for the playoffs anyday. And then if Sheed signs forget about it, TT might just become a sixth man again. Specially if Zeke can get Nazzy into starter mode.

Plus last year, Tim said that before he retired he wanted to play for the Knicks. He said that if there was any chance for him to be a Knick he wanted his agent to get the deal done. So Timmy really wants to be here, that is a very good thing. His numbers are going to go up with Marbury here. Believe me guys, this will turn out to be a good trade.

You should post a link where he was quoted saying that. It's always a good thing to get players that want to be a Knick. I always said that if Stephon ever came to the Knicks, he'd play better than he ever has in his career. If TT said that, then the same prediction applies. Watch him step up BIG TIME in NY. That trade is gonna look like a steal. Some are already calling it that.

s3231, thanks for the link. That quote was the best part of that article.

The reason that author was so unflattering was because cat is a friggin' Bucks fan. Not only that, but he's a Bucks fan that ain't too bright:

So now Larry Harris and the Milwaukee Bucks move forward. In Keith Van Horn, they get a little bit more consistency. They get a little more toughness.

It doesn't surprise me at all that nonsense like that would come from Hoopsworld.

Who the hell is he talking about?!?!? The crack epidemic must be THAT bad over there! They can soup themselves up to believe that mess if they want. He's their problem now. Thank God.
