Amare needs to hit that midrange to loosen things up...he's open initially on that jumper..needs to take that shot.

You need a 6-10/11+ 250+ pound skilled player to compete at the absolute top in the NBA. You need 2 skilled bigs--thats why our funds/assets need to go to that not CA.

A few shots influenced by the Lakers' size, but he usually hits 2-4 of the midrange shots he's missed so far tonight.

No P&R action either.

Kobe, Artest & Odom haven't done much either... we need someone to step up & have a huge 2nd half to have any hope of winning this game

Amazing that we're so close with Felton and Amar'e having horrible games! I think that shows this team is very competitive despite not clicking on all cylinders.

Anthony isn't happening anyway but we all know we need size.

Which is why I propose AR, Curry and a 2nd round pick to the Blazers for Marcus Camby.

Mike D!!! Take a good look ! Walsh! take a good look. We are too small. We are too damn small. They are killing us on the boards. We look like midgets out there. You better fix this problem. We can't win this game tonight. Felton is out of sync and Amare is trying too hard and is making mistakes. The Lakers are just too big on the inside.

Amare is just awful tonight.

The Knicks are more than Amare. He is not awful. He is just missing some shots.

Knicks need to win this game. If Kobe and Pau hurt us, its understandable, but Bynum, Odom, and Brown need to be contained.

We are just too small and the Lakers will always beat us because of that. Bynum is on his game. We can't compete with no big defensive and rebounding Center. They will wear Amare down.

Lakers need to win this game because they have been slumping and Uncle Phil is not happy. Bynum is getting his sea legs. Artest is a pest. Gasol is very tall. Lamar Odom is from Queens.

Aren't you being a bit premature when the game is only at halftime and we're not even down big? This isn't the 1st time we've been small going up against a bigger team, so I don't see how it's an automatic loss cuz they're big inside. We'll see how the Knicks adjust in the 3rd.

Papabear is right, not a reflection on the current roster, we need someone in the paint besides Stat who can rebound and defend. Outrebounded 34-20 first half.

Only down 5 on the road against the champs and we got nothing outta STAT & Ray.

Initially it looked like D'Antoni hit the right note starting a small unit but it quickly caught up to us..We really need another big man..I can see if they don't wanna give up any primary assets until this Melo thing get's finalized -- that's cool, I'm OK with that..I understand why they won't do something like that and I support it..But there's no excuse not to cut a useless guy like Mason Jr. and hire the best big man you can find in the D-League to a 10-day deal..I've seen enough tape of Courtney Sims to know he can help us..Dude's no David Robinson but he's a big skilled presence that can rebound and score the ball 15' and in. Guy's averaging almost 18/10/1.5 blks...There are other guys out there I like for that role as well -- C Dwayne Jones is a FA who dominated the glass in the NBDL last year) but Sims, with his combination of scoring and rebounding, would probably be the best fit as a big off the bench that can supply more than Turiaf..If they do nothing else, just gimme a small move like this already, please..I'm begging for it..When STAT took that extended rest tonight, we didn't get one good shot the whole time. There's 3 moves to make right now:

1 - Deal a good portion of our assets for a guy like Nene. WRONG MOVE
2 - Do nothing. WRONG MOVE
3 - Dismiss Mason Jr. and bring up Courtney Sims from the NBDL. THE RIGHT MOVE

How do we adjust to 2 seven footers? We can't get a rebound. I'm not premature. The only way we win is if Bynum and Gasol run out of gas and loose their legs. Then we have a chance. Amare needs to start hitting shots but this is the problem when you have a small team. Look I want the Knicks to win and I hope that they do but watch the body language of the Knicks.
