Who was the Point Guard on the Jordan Bulls teams? BJ Armstrong? Paxson? Don't necessarily need a top flight PG if you have two other stars. Who was Kobe's PG last year, Derrick Fisher? Get Melo and add a real good power forward to board and we are a 55 win team.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

i'll roll w/that all day against any team in the EC for now... even if that's still not good enough to win a championship, it's still a strong core to build around that can contend right now & re-establish that winning culture again in NY that the fans & management have wanted all along... winning games will draw more FA's to NY in the years to come... we need to make the moves to get this team to that next level.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Nash's Second MVP year:

if you consider the fact that felton has played 2-3 more minutes per game this year than what Nash did during both his mvp campaigns then the disparity is even larger. and those shooting percentages is huge. that's the difference between good and great.

yes the numbers are in the neighborhood but it's like saying boozer is in the same class as tim duncan. you could make an argument but it's pretty weak.

No disputing the Steve Nash of today (or specially, age 30 to present) is a special player, arguably one of the best orchestrators to ever play the position particularly on the offensive end.

Oddly, the first half of Nash's career where fairly pedestrian, where he looked like he'd peak as at best a borderline all-star who'd need fan help to get on an all-star team. Then somehow at age 30 Nash reinvented himself as the ultimate artist on offense. It's pretty amazing to be honest.

At age 26, Felton has accomplished quite a bit more than Nash at the same stage.
Felton, at worst, has come across as an extremely hard worker who produces based on his effort more than his talent. At best, he's showing that at least statistically he can hang with the best. The rest will come if the team continues to win. We've seen some flashes of artistry over the past few games. You can tell the fans are beginning to notice - the calls for Chris Paul have begun to quiet down a bit.

For reference, at age 26, Steve Nash produced a career best at the time 15.6ppg, 7.3apg. Prior to that, his best production was 8.6ppg (25) and 5.5apg (24). If you compared him to modern day players, you'd call him a poor man's Luke Ridnour!

I prefer to remain optimistic that Felton (under the tutelage of D'Antoni) can still grow leaps and bounds.
