He does a lot of trash talking on the court to opponents which also needs to be monitored carefully. There were several instances last season where be was close to confrontations with other players

I don't mind some trash talking if it is in response to the opposition's actions- and to be honest I don't mind confrontations if you are pushed too far. I was an under control athlete in my HS days, but remember kicking at a guy who was trying to push me off the mat well after a whistle sounded. He was on a team known for that kind of intimidating crap, and was trying it on me. I think I lost a point, but it was well worth it and sent a message.

We all know that Gallo was a targeted player- a "soft Euro"- and players tried to push him around. My old HS was all "white" until a number of years ago. I remember being told of one of the first African American students, a football player of all people, and a good sized kid, facing some problems from a certain element. His solution was to kick the shyt out of the biggest guy bothering him. Did wonders for his rep- and folks let him do his thing.

Gallo has had run-ins with a few guys- one of the more satisfying being how he stood up to KG. Part of growing up as a pro. If Gallinari starts doing that to other players and tries to be a bully, I can guarantee you that I will say something.

I am on record being against over done and choreographed celebratory activities, by the way. I hate it.

By the way, the "maturity" I look at has to do with letting your emotions affect your play in a negative way, or not being coachable. Gallinari has been fine in that aspect.

Marv - it depends on whether Gallo is listening to WuTang or Doug E Fresh

personally, I like Gallo and Randolph running together. The German and the Italian.

Folks around here have to get him hooked up with some Rick Astley stuff- that will set him on the straight and narrow.

Randolph came into the league at a very young age and had the misfortune to have an eccentric coach. He's intelligent and he's growing up. I think he'll do fine.

Hey Earl,
What would you say if I said after all these years, I'm actually looking forward to seeing this team on the floor?

I think if MDA can get what he got out of Boris Diaw, who by the way totally sucked everywhere else before and after MDA, AR should have a breakout season.

A starting lineup of AR, Amare, Gallo, Chandler, and Felton is tailor made for MDA.

Turiaf and Azebuke are solid proven players so we are also good at 2/3/4 off the bench.

The question marks are TD as a backup PG and Mosgov at C. Barbosa was very sucesfull as MDA's backup, and TD does fit the mold of the shooter.
So really only backup C is a question mark.

If I were Walsh I would address this with signing Barron in case Mosgov is not ready.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Why would they signed mosgov if he wasn't ready.

every player we come across seem to be tailor made for MDA except curry and Shaq..

We hyped Darko last year and he never got off the bench. D'Antoni has guys he likes and dislikes.

All I can say is that when dudes play well for MDA they play REALLY WELL! Do you think that he's just out of touch or that he kind of knows what he's doing? To me if you can take a guy like Diaw and you know what you have in mind for him and he plays as well as he did, then you have to trust that guys judgement.

MDA has a very well developed philosophy on what he looks for from his players. I think when players fully buy into what he's doing you can see the results and he has ZERO patience for players that won't buy in. Really there's no reason not to buy and go along with the program. I wouldn't base my opinion on MDA going with Darko, Hughes, Al or Nate. Even Amar'e can't complain much cuz he had tons of success playing for MDA.

AR should be able to use all of his talents here and I think we'll be very happy with the results.

The Answer Man Checks Tickets On The Knicks Silver Bullet Train

Q. Panos - What would you say if I said after all these years, I'm actually looking forward to seeing this team on the floor?

A. I would say you are a very wise man and that after all these years, more dudes in the rotation (A'mare, Turiaf, Mozgov, Gallo, Randolph and The Mayor) can posterize a defender, with authority
