There were several instances last season where be was close to confrontations with other players
I don't mind some trash talking if it is in response to the opposition's actions- and to be honest I don't mind confrontations if you are pushed too far. I was an under control athlete in my HS days, but remember kicking at a guy who was trying to push me off the mat well after a whistle sounded. He was on a team known for that kind of intimidating crap, and was trying it on me. I think I lost a point, but it was well worth it and sent a message.
We all know that Gallo was a targeted player- a "soft Euro"- and players tried to push him around. My old HS was all "white" until a number of years ago. I remember being told of one of the first African American students, a football player of all people, and a good sized kid, facing some problems from a certain element. His solution was to kick the shyt out of the biggest guy bothering him. Did wonders for his rep- and folks let him do his thing.
Gallo has had run-ins with a few guys- one of the more satisfying being how he stood up to KG. Part of growing up as a pro. If Gallinari starts doing that to other players and tries to be a bully, I can guarantee you that I will say something.
I am on record being against over done and choreographed celebratory activities, by the way. I hate it.
By the way, the "maturity" I look at has to do with letting your emotions affect your play in a negative way, or not being coachable. Gallinari has been fine in that aspect.
