Good for him.

I feel bad for us, but really bad for Cleveland, Akron, and Ohio in general. I have lived in smaller cities and towns, and I understand that picking up someone like Princess J, who is local, a great athlete, and just happens to be there when you win the draft lottery, is a rare occurrence.

Princess LeBron has committed legacy suicide. He is not only a coward who chose the easy path, but he is also a hypocrite who threw his hometown into the gutter after building up an image that was created to make you think he was above such things.

How can he ever go back to his home now?

He gave 7 hard years--what about your freedom of choice? He's been in Ohio for 25 years. I think he's earned the right to do what he wants--he still is a human being.

Briggs... here is why what you said doesnt apply. If Lebron just came out and said I'm going to Miami to play with my buddies down in South Beach then fine. But he made every NBA team wait a week. He made the whole NBA about him. He had a freakin ESPN special. This was the uber display of narcissism. He rubbed the Cavs nose in it and he deserves this kind of treatment

Also, as I was listening to ESPN last night after the "Decision" they kept excusing Lebron by
saying that this plan to play with Wa/sh was made years ago. If this is true, he should not
have gone thru this big charade getting courted by all these other teams, jerking them around,
and encouraging them to make LOPSIDED DEALS in the hopes of signing him. Not just the Knicks, but
also Chicago and the Nets. Fuck you Lebron. You could have told these teams a long time ago
that you were not going to play there.
As for New York in particular, he flirted with the city for the last TWO YEARS. Talk about a c-ck tease.

I really hope Miami gets screwed on this. I hope they can't sign any more players, and Bosh fades
like he always does, and they just get beat down on the front line.

You'll never be the Greatest Of All Time, Lebron. You couldn't hold Mike's jockstrap.
Mike was a killer. You are a p-ssy. Rot in Miami.

This guy is so loyal that he fired a coach that won him 60+ games last year. This guy is mad that his cash cow is gone and this display probably makes it much easier for LBJ to swallow. This reeks of being fake. While Lebron should NOT have done the special--he was obviously in a catch 22--he was going to make someone angry no matter what he did. Dolan or Gilbert getting mad--well to bad--thats life. I think this guy is acting like a kid--Im going to tell on you nah nah nah nah nah and acting big and bad. Just shut up and take the high ground idiot.

I don't think it is fake. I think it is an honest, immediate reaction after being betrayed. He might have benefitted from waiting a day to make a statement but the emotion he expressed is not fake.

You know. As much as an a-hole that I think Kobe is, I have to agree, he never would have done what Lebron did. It is a sad day for the NBA.

It is not so much the fact that he left, but how he did it.

"Gilbert, who has owned the Cavs for five years, said he was most disappointed by James' behavior in the months leading up to the superstar's announcement that he is going to Miami to play with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Gilbert said James never returned a single phone message or text since the end of the season and that the Cavs were not informed of James' decision until he went on the air." ... from the AP interview

Stuff like this happens when you have 25 year old or younger players providing multi-multi-million dollar supply contracts. They're millionaires before developing business courtesy. I was more surprised by Kevin Durant's signing announcement and that Amar'e wanting to leave the Suns something than I was by LeBron and Bosh's lack of etiquette
