let's not totally discount what he did last year either: 22mpg 12ppg,6rpg, 1.55bpg. If we can add this guy as our PF next to amar'e and gallo, then we have a hell of a front-line. i'm absolutely FOR this move.
he's also been yanked around A LOT by nelson. that situation in GS is a joke, its one of the only franchises in the NBA run more poorly than the knicks are. just a joke, from ownership on down.
randolph is so young and so unique of a player, i'd really love to have him on the knicks. if they committed to him 30 minuets a night, i think he would really break out.
Just about to say the same thing Smooth --- LOL.
We said nyk4ever...I'm definitely in favor of this trade also...How can you not like this kid Randolph? Very skilled..You give this kid 35 mins a night and he should put up all-star numbers across the board, a guy that really fills out the entire stat sheet. Don Nelson really makes me laugh man.. This cukoo has jerked this kid Randolph around right from the beginning. I mean here's Nelson years ago with us trying to shove Patrick Ewing to the background, instead choosing to funnel everything through point-forward Anthony Mason. Now years later he gets lucky enough to draft a player with similar only BETTER skills than Mason and then fails to utilize him properly. LOL! Dude's a complete nutjob...David Lee is quite the proven commodity though, an all-star --- Randolph isn't and Turiaf, while I do like him, isn't either. Let's be honest, Turiaf's a backup albeit a pretty good one...My big Question right now - is that package enough for D. Lee? I realize we're not getting Monta Ellis along with Randolph but I'm thinking a Randolph/Azubuike, Randolph/Turiaf/a re-signed CJ Watson or Randolph/Turiaf/a future pick package sounds a little better no??? Hey, if it's Randolph/Turiaf, in the end of the day, I guess you take that and consider yourself lucky...
Just to be clear, if we traded Lee (resigned in the $12-14M dollar range (maybe more considering what Boozer just got), wouldn't we have to take back $12-14M in salary to balance it out? Isn't that right? We'd only be taking back about $6M in total salary with this proposed trade...I like keeping that cap room open, don't get me wrong, but is it possible? GS looks like they have a lot of gauranteed salary on the books for next season. They look real close to the cap -- not sure how they'd be able to take Lee at $12-14M or higher and only give up $6M? Or does Lee take a lot less in yr. 1?? Can someone explain how this all plays out with this deal between us and GS...
