9pm EST will be 3am in Paris... DAMN !! We'd better have some leaks early

It's gonna be crazy when I'll wake up and see the dozens of articles everywhere... now if he stays in Cleveland, that will be all for nothing !

Stern gotta be ****tin' bricks right now, if he isn't informed as to what is going on.

I thought this charade was over the top, but to each his own, until I read about that "conference" call the knuckleheads were gonna have today. What the hell does "to finalize details of what they are gonna do" mean?

This is reverse collusion. And honestly it could not come at a worse time. All this talk about the owners shooting themselves in the foot with the CBA about money? Moot point. The money part can be worked out. These stooges are making a mockery of the FA process while in the process ruining the integrity of the league with these "meetings".

I am a union worker at a factory. What these guys are doing is making it very hard for the NBA not to lobby for some type of change in the FA process. These guys are meeting to determine "what direction the league goes in"(Lebron's words, not mine)? These guys are undermining their union with what we would call "wildcat" actions.

Who would've thought that the 3 best players in the league had such little sack? Who woulda thought Amar'e had the biggest balls to go out on his own and be a leader? Now these guys got to have a conference call to finalize their plans? Are they gonna talk about what to wear too? Do they all get their period at the same time also? I hear Walmart sells bulk cranberry juice.

I almost want to see Donnie come out and say, "you know what guys, you aren't man enough to play in this city. We're out." and go all out and get Paul and Anthony. F**k 2011. Do this now. Lebron, Wade, Bosh? Have fin fighting over the ball. Paul, Melo, Amare? You're in.

I thought this was getting classless before. A damn conference call again? WTF?

Wait a minute....where is it confirmed that the Big 3 will sign together on the same team?? I really don't think that will happen.

As for this 1 hour special, I like it. LeBron has been very cool about his decision. It has been the reporters and the fans who have made this a Big circus-like event, not LeBron. So why not broadcast it. The alternative is a Big Press Conference, which also would be broadcasted. The difference is that LeBron is getting sponsors for this event and all of the sponsors' money is going to charity - the Boys and Girls Club of America. I think that is a wonderful, very unselfish act by LeBron. A great move! made by someone worthy of playing in NY and making Billions!

No way am I gonna watch. Not only that I am gonna try my best to forget it is even happening.

I just can't tale this bitchness anymore. The guys back in the day...the guys who built this league, the guys who were in it to compete not hold hands.....Bird, Magic, Jordan, guys like Moses Malone, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Reed, Frazier, Havelick(sp) to current legends that had that warrior "with or without you" mentality like Mitch Richmond, Ewing, Miller(I'll get **** for this one), Mullin.....these guys must be throwing up in their mouths....these guys believed in the spirit of competition. In the honor victory and the satisfaction of accomplishment. They were all willing to tear their heart out and take the responsibility of leadership for the sake victory and risk defeat.

Come on now....have some damn pride. Lebron, Bosh, and Wade can go ef themselves for all I care at this point. What ever happened to a guy who WANT to be the one. The guy who wants the responsibility and is willing to stand on his own with his team on his back? The player who will set the path and not follow it...you know where that guy is at?

He's already in New York.

this is a good sign. Hard to picture having a one hour show to say your resigning in Cle.

I'm confident he's not going to Chicago or Miami either.

Only real consolation here is that the LeWhore drama will finally end.

A few fine points to consider:

IMO, this means he's leaving. You don't schedule a 1 hour program to tell Cleveland you're staying. You do it to thank the city and home town and all of that.

Where he goes is anyone's guess.

Yet, with Bosh and Wade likely in Miami I'm guessing LBJ is coming to NYC. It won't be NJ alone. I doubt it's CHI. I guess there's a chance the three did agree to take a pay cut to play together in MIA.

Just got to wait and see.

Knicks are rumored to be putting together a huge press conference for Friday.

Coincidence?

Knicks also rumored to be introducing Amare on Thursday. So what would friday be for?

Your guess is as good as anyone's.

At least this drama is about to end.

Let me preface this by saying it is a great cause.

Now, my definition of true charity is to give with no hope, promise, or expectation of reward or gratification. Lebron is getting a full hour on cable on the biggest sports network out there on an even bigger cable network(abc) on an even bigger global network(disney) to make a 10 second announcement.

He's stroking his ego and paying so everyone thinks it's a good cause.

I believe the donations are coming from the proceeds from the sponsors who have signed on and not LeBron's pockets.

You're right. Unfortunely I still believe there was a marketing strategy involved in this to benefit the Lebron James brand.

Yes, all of the sponsors' money is being donated. We don't know if LeBron or ESPN or the Knicks will also make donations. Yes, I am assuming LeBron will sign with us.

Also, if you are insinuating that LeBron isn't giving money, so he isn't doing very much, that is wrong. I work for a non-profit organization and all non-profits depend upon donations. To have a very well-known celebrity put on an event for you is a dream come true. It gives, recognition and free publicity as well as money. This is what "Stars" do for a charity they like. They donate their name and their time. This is a Big thing LeBron is doing! Congratulations to him.

I agree. With Bosh and Wade going to Miami, New York becomes the best destination with the Amare signing. Lebron nows we will have $14-$15 mil in cap space next year to sign another near max FA, so this team should compete this year and can get even better next year. The only thing that troubles me is this whole reserving an hour on ESPN thing. It seems just unbelievably arrogant and is annoying as h*ll. Just announce your decision, I don't need no da*n explaination and I am sure the people in Clev don't want any explanation either.

If LeBron is signing with the Knicks, then Donnie, Dolan, and probably MDA already know. Look for leaks from the Knicks organization. They must be making plans already.

Today, just have to look at D'Antoni's face and that will give it away.
