VANGUNDY SUCKS

:Another game and another team's scoring turned impotent. Another night was filled with missed shots. Another offense was suffocated, left for dead until the only appeal was the morbid curiosity about how long coaches would wait to pull the plug.

But this time, the offense the Rockets shut down was their own.

For a third consecutive Rockets game, a team failed to reach 70. But Wednesday, the Rockets did little to challenge the reigning champions of the defense-first art form, accepting an 85-66 loss to the Pistons and adding another line to their record book.

After holding consecutive teams to the fewest points ever scored against the Rockets, the Rockets finished with as few as they have ever put up in a game.

there were a couple of players with the intensity of their three-game winning streak, he did not point them out. He and Jim Jackson had 15 points each to be the only Rockets to score in double figures. But even when the Rockets and Pistons were still tied three minutes into the second quarter, the Rockets seemed disinterested compared to the more intense, focused performances in the winning streak.

"We didn't prepare well this morning. We didn't compete well tonight," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "We weren't as determined to win as we have been for most of the time this year. Detroit played really hard."

Be a man and come on here and tell me who the better coach is, A-HOLE! What you witnessed tonight was a coach with a system against a coach with NO CLUE OF A SYSTEM. The proof is in the pudding. Yes the players sucked tonight, but still Houston has a plan and after getting blown out last night, it would have been easy for them to fold with the NY pressure. They did not, they went out and won the game and got back on plan. PROFESSIONALISM.

Now you go on talking all your crap, but we all SEE what the deal is. Yes, JVG plays a slo-tmp offense and yes, it is UGLY to watch some days. But when shots fall, it is a simple offense and it works well. The Defense is always there and that IS WHY THEY ARE ABOVE .500

NY has no Plan under this coach. He is clueless. I have been saying this for 2 years now. In the mean time, you have blamed, JVG, Spree, and now Zeke while supporting Chaney and Layden. This team has no passion....that COMES FROM THE COACH! Houston is playing scrappy just like their little sh!t of a coach.

"What are the Knicks now?" - Kerr asks?

You so dumb. First of all the team you liked was 14-21! Going nowhere fast. Now this team is 0-2. I said at the beginning
of the season the team had 40 win talent....the new team has 45 win talent. The COACH must bring it together. Its still early with the new team but his record is not there and I don't expect that will change.

The ony thing that bothers me is that the 2004 first round pick to Phoenix is not lottery protected even to 1.

playa, go ahead making your pscychoanalytical predictions that the Knicks are sucking cause of trade timing. The trade was awesome.

The only facts we have is that the Knicks got WIDE OPEN shots and they didnt drop. Marbury woulda had 20 assists if some players made some wide open shots. Its the 2nd game. Theres just no cohesiveness. Im willing to bet that in a couple of weeks, the Knicks wont get wiped out by a western powerhouse.

The only bad part of the trade is Penny. He wasnt good in Phoenix and he sucks now. If youre gonna trade anyone, trade him.

Houston is the one of the lowest scoring teams in the league. They scored over 110 points and shot over 55% from the field. Chaney didn't have a defensive scheme to stop these guys. He was severly outcoached by JVG who isn't even a high ranking coach in the NBA.

Offensively, Houston blocked shots and got their hands in our faces and it looked as if KVH was the only player that had any fire. If the team takes on the personality of its coach, a coaching change has to be made soon. We might actually dig ourselves into a whole we cannot climb out of. And if we make the 8th spot we might get eliminated in the first round.

WOW, this was the most hyped up Knick game at the Garden in 2 years and this is what we see! I would give Don Cheney another week of games and practices to try and start winning and than i would fire him. The talent is here and if we dont start playing well we have to fire the coach.

I feel bad for all the fans who went to that game and were so enthusiastic about this team before the game started.

Anyway, the positive tonight was that The knicks were embarrassed on the national stage. Everyone saw how this team came out unprepared and everyone around the country heard those gorgeous FIRE CHANEY chants!

Its embarrasing to be a Knick fan. Detroit blows out the Rockets and we cannto come up with a defense to stop them from scoring 111 points? One Hundred and eleven! Chaney played the zone adamantly like he played Eisley over Fwill adamantly. He sees it not work but he still wont make a change. I cannot wait for post game comments to hear him explain this loss.

Yeah Chaney's D cannot hold odwn the secopnd worst offense in the league. Yet, their offense got stifled. What a motion offense!

Frank didn't start at the point position in Chicago silly, that was the chemistry I have been telling you about. Frank kept this team focused at the pg position , how soon you forget.

you guys are seriously taking Playa too seriously. Can't you see through him? He'll obvisiously go against the grain no matter what because he is an attention whore. Just ignore him...he's the only one with that mind set here so don't pay attention to what he says.
