Late Bloomer

Something doesn't add up in Barron's college career

As a sophomore at memphis he shoots 54 per cent from the field, in his junior year he shots 52 percent which includes 33 per cent from 3 point range. Not bad for a seven footer. As a senior something happens. There is a sudden drop to only 39 percent (10 per cent from 3) and the rest is history. His stock falls and he is undrafted. He plays parts of three seasons for the Heat so someone sees something.

Who said that big men take longer?

once a knick always a knick

15 and 9 tonight, guy shows a lot of promise, maybe a little to old for SL, not sure why DW doesn't lock this guy up for half a mill. If he plays out the season like this, he will get a few calls this summer from other teams.

The difference between him and Hill by far.... IQ and Bank accounts

i think that's fair... he definitely looks more comfortable in this offense than Jordan Hill did in his limited run... if he keeps playing like this then he could be a nice signing on the cheap for next year, but we still need a shotblocking presence in the paint.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I got to see the Boston game with my dad. Barron almost made us **** our pants when he ran down the baseline for a rebound and boxed out big baby. David Lee was hype on that particular play cuz he shouted some words at him when he got back on defense.

The dude can play. He also showed hes comfortable passing and dribbling on the perimeter. D'antoni needs his big men to be able to do that.

we know he can play. now either sign him up or shut him down so we don’t advertise him to bidders!

Totally agree...Knicks need the bodies for next season anyway. 7ft vet that does what he does. Awesome.
