This is absurd, #1 Kansas losing to N.Iowa or whatever thay are called..

never thought Kansas would lose to N Iowa but i thought Ohio State would take them in the Elite 8

Anyone got the Xavier/Pitt game. I wanted to see that game. Why are they showing Cal/Duke in the East?

Duke is going to win this whole thing--their defense is the best in college basketball and they have enough guys who can score inside and out. I hate saying it but I dont see a team beating Duke.

can someone explain to me the rampant hatred towards the Duke basketball team? seems to me they're consistently 1 of the best coached teams in college basketball & they don't necessarily always do it with the best talent, do they?... i'm not as avid a watcher of college hoops as some of you guys are so i just wanna know why so much hate is directed their way... is it because they always beat up on the teams you guys support or is it a dislike of their style of play, or a disdain for Coach K? just trying to understand the underlying reasons behind it all.

just for the record i'm not a Duke fan, i really don't have much interest in the teams, just like to evaluate future NBA talent when i get the chance.

umd fan -- so i hate duke and unc. the acc is a "traditional" carolina conference. things were held against my school: too far north, black players (during 50s/60s), etc... duke and unc came to represent the old guard to at least umd fans. they had success which is why others may not like them. duke has recruited some guys who fans love to hate in the acc: just jumpers, scheyerface, sheld will, jaywill, melchioni, zoubs, grant h, floor slapper (wojo), duhon, christian, hurley, boooozer, etc... the team is accused of flopping a lot, and they seem to get away with it.

it may be all in fans heads... unc has had far more success in the past 10 years and outside of clumpson and ncst, they arent as hated as duke -- to me at least.

Alright. This video clip is Duke basketball in a nutshell. Peep Steve Wojo, whose now a duke assistant, commit a dirty ass play by faking that Jamal Magloire had him wrapped up and was hurting him. Now thats cheap as shyt, but listen to the announcers lose their mind over it and clearly ignore the replay that shows that "Wojo" was completely faking. A lot of commentators like Dikie V and the like are so in the tank for Duke its ridiculous and have created a backlash. Perfect example:
