I really like Lampe and I tohught Milos was going to be the main PG for the knicks but everyone who doesn't like this trade that much shuold just let it sink in for like 1 day. Losing Lampe is a bitch but we just got one of the best PG in this league.

We dont have to worry bouat a backcourt ever! Marbury is soo, all our SG needs to do is stand there and shoot. Thats it. Marbury can score on anyone. Lampe would've taken a while to develop and is no guarantee. I hate to see him goo too but he wasn't a sure thing and Marbury is a sure thing. I have mixed feeligns too Marbury without playing a single game has made a top 3in the east.

We are a Power Forward away from competing for a championship. Hope has been reborn! I can be a proud knick fan again! =)

wow, this is just AMAZING. Simply AMAZING.

Marbury, Houston, KVH, Thomas, Deke.

3 very good offensive players with 2 very good defensive big men.

Bench: Penny, FWill, Doleac, Anderson, OH.

Another article from out west: www.evtrib.com/index.php?sty=15340

Question: did KVH and Marbury play together before? And if they did, what was there history together like?
they played together. marbury destroyed van horn and refused to pass the rock to van horn and shut van horn out of games.

I don't think Marbury's shenannigans will fly with Knick fans. If he starts acting selfishly he will be berated by MSG announcers (Marv, Breen, Clyde, Johnnie Hoops and Trautwig) then the media will follow and he will hear it from the fans.

He doesn't have to like KVH he just needs to play with him and pass him the rock because he can make the shot.

He needs to play like Spree, attitude wise in the court, and be totally unselfish. We have enough firepower with Houston and KVH so that Starburry wouldn't need to average 30 pts a game. We need him to average 9 assists a game, then take over the game in the final seconds when we need a shot.

i would try to trade horn for rasheed wallace. i know that sounds crazy, i know rasheed is a nut. but isiah maybe can keep him cool.
If they can bring Sheed in, trade for him and see how it works out and then offer him a contract. I think Zeke might be able to control him to actually.

First, I hope this works out! Good news: Eisley, McD, Ward gone. Marbury could turn his career around finally. Get a backup SG in Penny.

Bad news: Youth movement is now FWill and Sweetney. Lampe wasn't developing fast enough. Tough break, Macej. Also, Marbury is on the worst team in the West. He hasn't exactly brought them together after last year's fluke season.

Hopefully, he'll keep his mouth shut and accept that KVH and Allan are his first options, and that he himself is the last option. He needs to be a PG. Take over games in the 4th, but keep the other guys involved up until then. Penny is at least a decent SG backup, so that's a plus.

Overall, I like the trade, if only because it fires guys who aren't producing. I think Marbury sucks as a REAL point guard, but he's not as bad as Eisley and Ward. Also, maybe he'll turn around his dismal season and play like a pro. Good luck.

case loads, i guess iverson, and jason kidd destroyed van horn too. remembered he sucked with them too? that theory holds no water.

Funny how guys are calling marbury selfish now but last year when he was killing tony parker and the champion spurs he was transformed into a team guy.

fair weather.

What's fair weather? Here's the bottom line - each time Marbury has been traded, the team that dealt him got better. That's no coincidence.

If Marbury was such a great team guy, why the heck would Phoenix deal him? He's young, he's got great numbers! There must be a reason right?

Yeah, I think Hardcore and I had a conversation about the possibility of Sheed coming in a while back...as a way of getting rid of Houston's contract...

right Silver, now I don't mind trading the rights to Milo's. I never invisioned getting someone as good as marbury. Only 2 other point guards in history averaged 20 and 8.

Look, Marbury is a great player and an all-star, but you have to admit the Suns absolutly ****ted on us in this trade.

Consider, by getting Mcdyess/Ward, they clear off about 12-13 mil in caps space (the net of taking on Eisley). So they will lure in an FA no problem.

They also picked up two no.1's, one of which could easily be in the lottery. They got the best PG in Europe, and a player in Lampe who has Dirk-like upside. Sure, all could bust, but the boom factor is also very hight. Add in the fact that they still have Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire, Joe Johnson, Zarko Cabarkapa etc. This team could be absolutley sick in a couple of years, or maybe sooner. We are looking at the new Mavericks, and yet another strong team out west.

Sure we got an all star player in them, but they were going no where with him, and now all of a sudden things are looking very bright. And if we don't make the playoffs with Marbury, things are looking bleaker here.

I will give Thomas that this was creative, and he did land a big ticket player. But he's on the lopsided, bad end of this one. I'm sorry. He shouldn't have had to give so much, and should've gotten more back. Couldn't we have at least taken Cabarkapa from them? I'm sorry, I'm not a fan of this deal.

all I'm saying is we didnt trade Jordan for Marbury. We traded one cripple two bums, one scare point and a decent ceter who has to develop with two picks.

Does that mean out future is gone?? Hell no , we will create a new future. at least we aint idle, anylonger and we got a guy that can play.

It looks like the Suns are trying to imitate the Nuggets in their rebuilding process.

hey the last poster, milos, couldnt hold Tony parkers Jock strap, and guess who Parker is most scared of in the nba? those two picks will never be lottery picks, or top five lottery picks. i will give you ten dollars if you can name the 4th pick in the nba draft last season. I will give you ten more dollars if you can name any body that will get drafted and start next season or the seaons after not named omekfor or Gordon.

the suns wont be shi... now you are right neither are the knicks, not unless more big man are aquired, maybe a rasheed, a erick dampier stromile, we need big guys that can revound and play psyical. i wisjh we got carbarkra i like his game.

BUT HERE IS MY QUESTION, wHY DO YOU THINk lampe is going to be good.? sorry for the caps.

Yeah we did have a convo about that...
I think that Portland would trade for KVH over Allan for Sheed. Oh yeah, I'd love that deal. Either/or, but if we can get Sheed, I'd be happy. We would be even more on the map than we are now.

Let the babies cry about Lampe, Milos and draft picks. Isaiah Thomas has made MOVES to make the team BETTER. We needed a bona fide STAR on this team, and dammit, he got us one!

Guess what? He's not done.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

no question about it. It's a good trade for Phoenix. But you put Marbury on this team, in NY and the garden will once again rock.

but i do agree with martin and the v guy, this was the right move for the suns, they do what smart teams do and concede. give uip expensive guys and rebuild with youth. the knicks should of done this years ago. but dolan wont let em. so they got a young allstar. this aint rolando blackman fellas.

both teams will be ok. the book is still out for phoenix. Joe Smith was once the number one pick in the draft fellas.

I like the idea of MArbury as a Knick don't get me wrong, but Thomas better not be done. He has to unload H20 or KVH and get Sheed or someone else who is on that level. Why? Because Layden was famous for making trades that left holes and then sat on his hands when he should have been dealing more. Now he never landed a Marbury...but this trade doesnt finish the job. I think Thomas knows that though and he will continue to make moves that improve this team - we need a marquee PF to get us into contention for the finals (and to be competitve in them).

If Thomas gets rid of the Houston trade:

1. I'd be floored

2. It would make this deal a lot more acceptable

to the guy that said every team that traded marbury got better well thats just not a fair point come on. but agreed ge needs to prove him self and be on a winner. I dont agree keith is a first option but he needs the ball.

but back on the original point, when marbury was a Net, they didnt have kittles,Jason williams was always hurt, He played with kenyon for one season and kenyon was cleary still recovering from the leg. So when marbury left, the nets added Richard jefferson A healthy kittles, and a healthy kmart,

hOW GOOD WOULD THE NETS HAVE BEEN WITH JASON KIDD AND KEITH VAN HORN AND 10 STIFFS?? YOU DO THE MATH
