Dirk... and Bird winning are rare in this contest. That's just a testament to how amazing they are.

You could see Gallo and then Frye tiring out as they got deeper into the contest. Takes a lot of energy for the big guys to jack 30 shots in 60 seconds you know?

It's a guard dominated contest.


Still good to see Gallo in the contest regardless.

It's been one of the better competitions in recent memory.

Not many big men compete in this competition in comparison to the overall field. Big men usually aren't good shooters and don't get invited but if they do they have as good a chance as anyone else and have done very well

Personally I think jennings was on the right stage and has a long way to go for the all-star team. Great skills, great potential. Trigger-happy. Forces passes. Needs a lot of growth and seasoning to be running an nba team to its potential. But love his presence and demeanor and energy on the court.

Jennings/Bobby Brown was definitely on the right stage this year. Maybe he belongs there next year. He shoots some bad shots. But he was clearly ahead of most of the guys out there. The kid is skinny but he has heart like you allude to. He improves his weaknesses a little and this kid is a legit all-star.

All Jennings has to do is get his jumper consistent. Also what might help is if a team can't gear their entire defense to stopping him as is happening this year due to the absence of Michael Redd or any other legitimate creative offensive players.

So far this is the worst dunk contest in recent memory.

AS weekend has BOMBED so far.

3pt shootout was one of the best I've seen in some time though. That's about it. :/
