I remember being intrigued by him and thinking we could really use him, but instead we got McDyess. That was a fun 18 games.

the best part is that Camby turned into Nene turned into McDyess turned into..air..and Eddy Curry

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

You guys notice that back in the day they used to have 7, 8, 9 rounds?!?! Now we only have 2 rounds!! I'm so mad about that.

The more you think about it, the more it becomes clear that David Lee is the best Knicks pick since 1985. Except for Mark Jackson.

Who was alive back when Jackson was picked? Why did they trade him?? I was alive, but I was young and innocent.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

What are you mad about? Back in the day there were few teams, so more talent fell to the later rounds. Plus I'm sure the scouting was not as good. Today its rare that even a seconder makes a team, never mind becomes an impact player. Besides, you can always sign undrafted players.

When talking best pick, you also have to take into account where they were drafted. Late picks who do good should be rewarded (Ariza, Lee).
And just cuz you make a trade, doesn't mean that you weren't responsible for the good pick in the first place (Jax, Rod).
Tenure with a team (Ward) is not as important to me, as it also hurts recent picks (Gallo) who may in fact be better picks.

Here is the list:

Mark Jackson
David Lee
Rod Strickland
Trevor Ariza
Nene
Charlie Ward
Gallinari
Nate Robinson
Channing Frye
Mardy Collins

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Mardy Collins? Huh?!
I'd take Hubert Davis over him.

Think the question should of been worded a little different.......

Like who has been the best draft pick for our Knicks......

Mark Jackson got traded too quickly so was Ariza

Lee has had great #'s for a 30th pick....

Charlie Ward Lasted a lot of years.....

But as far as Potential still gotta stick with Gallo .....

Hey Cosmic why you still hung up on Gallo being hurt?

Hey Cosmic why you still hung up on Gallo being hurt?

Because I have terrible back and ankle problems and I see him walk the same way I do during stoppages of play. Stiff, upright, slowly, herky jerky if you will.

I also watch him shoot and some days his legs are just dead as he airballs shots. That is also indicative of back problems. I watch him sometimes try to reach for a loose ball or a bad pass and he just can't do it because his back locks up. I know the pain and I know the feeling and I just see how he reacts at times and I know his back tweaked on him.

I think (hope) he is adjusting and can work through them. Not unlike Larry Bird or Larry Johnson.

Yet the problems do exist and anyone who has a bad back can see what he is going through.

You have good and bad days though. Good and bad weeks. So to the average fan they might not notice why he's having a bad week or a good week out on the court.
