Thankfully, he doesn't get the final call on that.

But really, I see Duhon back next year. As a back-up, hopefully. He is the only point that has two years of MDA under his belt. He'll be back, but hopefully as a back up.

if the Knicks nab LeBron, I see them making a vet min offer to Duhon.

Duhon will cost more than a vet min offer.

bwahahahahaha

13 assists, 0 turnovers tonight... bwahahahaha

cmon tms - you cant pick the ONE game he dished out some dimes w no turnovers and think that overshadows 2 yrs of less than mediocre play from duhon on this team. duhon sucks and in a year where money will be tight in the league for every player except the top tier, duhon will have a tough time getting a job next year. im sure some silly ass team will pick him up (unless the knicks resign him which would be stupid in my opinion) but even if they do, he isnt WORTH the vet minimum.

From a post column:

The Knicks are still in the market for a backup point guard by the Feb. 18 trade deadline and are looking at point guards with expiring contracts. There are a good handful who fit the bill. The Knicks are holding scouting meetings this week to evaluate the point guard bounty.

Sources indicate the Blazers are willing to deal Steve Blake. Detroit's Chucky Atkins and Washington's Mike James can also be had. Other point guards the Knicks could pursue who have expiring pacts include Miami's Carlos Arroyo, Indiana's Travis Diener, Golden State's C.J. Watson, Oklahoma City's Kevin Ollie and Memphis' Marcus Williams

he's a crappy scorer but he's a very capable distributor of the ball... 6th in the NBA in AST/TO ratio & 11th in AST/gm average... IMO he'll command about half the MLE, about along the lines of what Sebastian Telfair is making with the Clips... sorry but when there are scrubs like Speedy Claxton making the full MLE i can't imagine Chris Duhon taking a veteran's minimum offer... when you're talking veteran's minimum you're talking about scrubs like Anthony Carter or old roster fillers like Lindsey Hunter.

Ok, let's compare and contrast.
Chris Duhon, Height: 6-1 Weight: 190
Born: Aug 31, 1982
Min: 28:36
FG : 39.0
3PT: 36.1
Ast: 5.2
TO : 1.7
Reb: 2.6
PPG: 7.8

Steve Blake, Height: 6-3 Weight: 172
Born: Feb 26, 1980
Min: 25:41
FG : 41
3PT: 39.2
Ast: 4.1
TO : 1.4
Reb: 2.1
PPG: 7.6

Mike James, Height: 6-2 Weight: 188
Born: Jun 23, 1975
Min: 25:11
FG : 42
3PT: 37.8
Ast: 3.6
TO : 1.6
Reb: 2.3
PPG: 7.8

Chucky Atkins, Height: 5-11 Weight: 160
Born: Aug 14, 1974
Min: 25:06
FG : 41.2
3PT: 36.4
Ast: 3.5
TO : 1.5
Reb: 1.7
PPG: 10

Marcus Williams, Height: 6-3 Weight: 205
Born: Dec 3, 1985
Min: 15:18
FG : 38.1
3PT: 31.2
Ast: 2.5
TO : 1.9
Reb: 1.9
PPG: 5.7

I have been hating on Duhon as much as the next guy, if not more. But he does not look half bad on the stat sheet. I still prefer Steve Blake.

All the stats in the world don't cover the fact he has evolved into a bad fit. This is the second straight year Duhon has truly hit the crapper. For a team that depends so heavily on the PG play being consistent, Duhon is a horrible match.
