I disagree. Nate can score on or off the ball and noone is saying he should be a no. 1 option.

This team NEEDS a #1 option that doesn't give up as many points posing while play is going on than he actually scores.

Harrington's best years as a pro was as a 6th man on Indiana where he was key in helping them win more games in 1 year than will likely win in his first two here. Bender was there...he knows. giving him the green light as a no. 1 option speaks more to his ineptitude as a coach vs who Al is as a player.

Chandler avg'd 15 a game last year. He must get the ball in the hole somehow. We both agree it isn't because he has an outstanding outside shot. He is a slasher who should be playing closer to the basket but has him on the perimeter.

Last season he was explosive. This year he looks happy to rest on his athleticism-which has been dialed down a notch or two.

Shawn Marion wishes he had 1/4th of Lee's skill with teh ball at any point in his career. Once Marion lost the ability to outquick/outjump everyone he became garbage real fast.

Marion's numbers were astoundingly similar to Lee under Mike D. Marion's numbers dipped once he left Pringles, much like I suspect Lee's will.

Last I checked basketball is a team game. Knicks have a mix of guys whose talents can be blended in and compete at a high level. The Knicks only lack for a guard who can break down a defense 1 on 1, well not really, is just paying him the ultimate respect buy benching him.

What is your love affair with Nate, man? Basketball is about more than just scoring and that is the ONLY thing Nate proved he can do, and even that is to the detriment of the team game sometimes.

Nate does more than score. He is being railroaded. Grant him a buy-out and let him get on with his career elsewhere. He isn't good enough for a lottery team, but I'm willing to bet a contender finds a role for him

I am sure a contender with strong leadership and a winning philosophy would find him to be a great sixth or seventh man off the bench. Something that can off set his immaturity is needed if he isn't going to mature on his own. Personally I would love to get him to Houston with Curry, Will, and Mobley's contract, and #3 mil for TMac's contract and a 2nd rounder.
