Yes, every stat except for winning in the postseason, where before Boston KG was out in the first round every year except for 1.

I don't care what that guy sez. To put KG above Duncan Shaq in this decade is crazy. For that matter Kobe, Kidd and Dirk took their teams farther. As a matter of fact he is the second best player on the Celtics behind Pierce. All those guys are more franchise than he is. I'm not going to even get into the new blood of Wade, LeBron, Anthony, and Paul.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

You're focused on this winning thing but KG has never had the type of teammates (when he was in Minny) that Duncan or Shaq had. The very first year he was given some very good teammates he won the finals. The only other time he had semi-good teammates he got to the WCF. No one player can do it alone but you need that one excellent player as a prerequisite to winning championships. Not Zach Randolph, Not Vince Carter, Not Tyson Chandler, Not Baron Davis etc...

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Why don't you tell me what the criteria is then? Did Vince Carter have the kind of talent needed in Toronto or even New Jersey? He had Kidd, and Jefferson, who by your own words is not that good and the rest of NJ was a bunch of burgers. Dirk's surrounding talent was good but not that amazing after Nash left but he went to the finals and advanced past the first round many times. Duncan has Parker and Ginobli but the rest of that crew has never been incredible. And I find that Pierce and Allen are better than Parker and Ginobli.

The problem is you change the criteria when it goes against your argument. I provided some example of star players that got traded for expirings but then they were not franchise enough for you so you branded them name brand middle of the pack players. But then the guy you put as the #1 player only got to the second round once before he was the second best player on the team! (Garnett.)

We can argue talent all day, but smart money in the year 2000 puts Shaq or Duncan on their team, not Garnett, I can't even believe you want to argue that.

I'm not changing any criteria... there are only a handful of franchise players. I would include 2007 Dirk in that list. Shaq was on the list but he isn't anymore. Its a fluid thing. Injuries, age, and laziness/selfishness change things.

Early in their careers lots of guys look like potential franchise players, but very few of them become actual franchise players for any length of time.
