Italics in the QuickReply would be nice.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Someone should make a banner for the forum. Evil maybe? Just don't put in David Lee.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

hey all, this is a bit belated, but thank you for the kind words regarding the new roll out. We do appreciate it.

We do know there are still a few kinks to work out, we'll get there; we can't whip Bip enough to move him any faster and we can really only afford 1 intern at a time. If only the NBA would lower the age limit AND a skill limit when the draft time comes around, Bip would be able to realize his dream and we would finally get rid of him.

More still to come. Please, if there is something that is not right or should look different, let us know. I would say that forums for Mobile devices will be a next hurdle for us.

Hey Martin, I saw this in another forum, thought it would actually plug in really well here.

Every single post has an up and down arrow below it, which you click for like post or hate post, with a counter giving the current number.

Looks simple, cool and would actually work in this kind of forum. This is a random thread from the site so you can see. http://www.computing.net/answers/security/mysterious-virus-blocking-malwarebytes/27730.html

Whadaya think?

Matin/Andrew nice job! I am wondering if anyone else slightly distracted by the quote blocks? Once a message has a few quotes in them it has a dizzing affect. The if/then blocks are good for programming not so much for message boards.

frankly, I don't know how else to do the quote blocks. One thing I have added locally is a slight color difference with embedded quotes (every other one). I'll release it soon dont know if it really addresses what you speak to.

Let us know if there are other sites with forums with better UI's. I'm all for taking other idea's to make this thing better. And no doubt about it, I have personally have reached a wall with web design stuff; mostly I see what other sites have done and try (emphasis on try) to replicate - no denying it.

martin/andrew - would it be too difficult to add a feature that allows us to upload personal photos in addition to just finding ones and 'imaging' them from the net? lots of us go to actual games so taking a live pic and being able to upload it onto the site would be pretty cool. doesnt sound like its too difficult to do, but i dont know squat about programming this type of stuff so i am probably 100% wrong.

another thought, the game scores on the frontpage - anyway to add a link to the boxscore next to the link to the gamethread?

hey, at one point Andrew and I did look into linking to the ESPN boxscore/recap but their linking system is such that we can't figure it out; we could prob do NBA.com, in preseason their pages just sucked and it dropped off our radar. it'll be in soon enough.

I would have to say that uploading pics to our site is not going to happen - from a programming perspective and a managing uploads perspective, it's very hard and almost unwieldy at times. I guess that may be why there are sites dedicated to that sort of thing. I don't know which sites are best/easiest to use, but I am sure some here could post their recommendations. Cos?

I gotta request, though I'm not sure I know how to properly express it. Is it possible to have margins scale to window size? IOW, so that if I shrink the width of my browser window the margins push in such that text isn't cut off at the sides, thus reducing the need to horizontally scroll?

our min page width is 960 pixels (which is pretty standard across most sites - msnbc, espn, etc). So, if you browser window is LESS than that you will have to scroll horizontally. Anything bigger than that and you shouldn't see scrolling.

This address what you are referring to?

Yeah baby. But would that be considered width, or girth?
