That's been clear as day to see for the last 2 weeks.

There is nothing positive to bringing in a 40 yr old who thinks he is still a starter at wil and gallo's position. Why pretend because its pringles and walsh capi-taning the ship the showgirls mentality of nba players will just automatically vanish and everybody will get along like the lollipop guild. Dipping into the mid for a lle vet who plays at a position of strength when there are younger free agents out there that actually fill a need is stupid on top of pointless.

Grant Hill for one yr 2.5mil. At the end of the day that's value. Chandler & Gallo could both grow from a guy like Hill. If Hill can help them become better players for us for the next 10yrs then it is worth it.

Playing time alone doesn't always develop players into great players. If we learned anything from Chauncey Billups. He didn't develop into Mr Big Shot Billups until after working with Terrell Brandon and the other vets in Minny.

Who do our young players have to look to for leadership next season. Chris Duhon?, Larry Hughes?, Al Harrington?, Eddie Curry?, Darko Milicic?, Jared Jeffries?.

Carney failed in Philly & Minny. Low risk high reward but low possibility of reward high possibility of failure. Your plan seems to be to load up on young cheap available players giving them mins and hope that they develop into good players that way. That mins alone is going to turn them into good players. Id rather give the mins you would want to give to Carney to Chandler & Hill or Douglas at the 2 guard anyway.

Ive never seen that work on any full blown rebuilding team. If we really want to develop our players we would sign a guy like Hill. He could teach them intangible things like what to look for and how to break down game film and things like that. Try to see the game how he would see it.

sounds like hill should be on the coaching staff or somewhere doing player development

I can't recall one example where a rebuilding team decided to use its MLE on an over-36 vet? every team I've ever seen blow it up pawned off as many vets as they could and stockpiled young cheap talent.

the early 2000s wizards did it with michael jordan. not that it was all the effective, but i think they made the playoffs, right?

No, Jordan never made the playoffs with the Wizards. The Knicks and Wizards were battling hard for that 8th spot. Not sure what was accomplished under MJ.

Why when you could pay him 2.5mil and not only get coaching from him but also get double digit pts, 4-5rebs, 3-4asist to go along with 50% shooting and 80+% ft shooting. You get coaching and production.

Besides when the alternative is Rodney Carney id take my chances with Hill.

If Kwame Brown played half as good as what he was supposed to bring to the table. They would have made the playoffs with ease.
