so the Knicks may wanna trade for another lottery pick & then parlay those picks to get up to the top 2... this is an idea i've proposed many times before the trade deadline & people thought i was nuts.

i didn't say i wanted to take the 5 & 8 & move up to 2 douchebag... i said i proposed an idea to trade for another lottery pick & then parlay that pick w/ours to move up to a top 3 in this draft a while ago several times... if we'd moved Lee or Nate's contracts at the deadline we would have not only had an extra lottery pick to play with, but also would have finished w/a worse record this year & had a much better lottery pick to begin with... but hey, i know all my ideas are always crap, that is until in hindsight y'all will start talking about how we shoulda gotten some value outta Lee & Nate instead of letting them walk for nothing.

It's funny cuz, when there's a draft with clear studs at the top, it's not as interesting as this one. So for all the bashing this crop gets the dizzying scenarios make it very exciting to see how it all turns out.

I'm praying that we get that 5th spot in addition to the 8th, cuz then we can open a lot of other options.

whether it's the #2, or the #5, regardless we could have had assets to move up in this draft w/o having to give up someone like Wilson Chandler, which looks from all accounts the Knicks are highly interested in doing at this point.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have hired a prestigious Barcelona law firm to assist them should they draft Spanish guard Ricky Rubio.

Rubio has a large buyout with Spanish team DKV Joventut Badalona, and Thunder officials are using the firm to brief them on the country’s contract law and procedures. Thunder GM Sam Presti met with Rubio and his agent this past weekend.

Rubio reportedly has made progress on lowering his buyout to $4 million, still a hefty cost, but he also reportedly could be allowed to make payments over several years.

So the draft is taking shape right now. After the T-Wolves trades they may try to get pick #2 or stay put. If they stay put, it seems they won't get Rubio as OKC seems ready to do so.
