Sofolosha has been in and out of the rotation so smart guess would have him out. I read Heinrich is getting dealt to the Wolves for Jason Collins and Brian Cardinals - both expiring deals.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Hinrich has been playing pretty poorly the past 2 seasons and has $26 million over 3 years coming to him. It's a salary dump.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I guess that makes some sense that they would trade Heinrich for something, and maybe the thought was to also trade Gordon - he's in a contract year too.

Rose, Salmons, Deng, with Sefolosha taking spot minutes at SG/SF.

at least Donnie's holding to his mantra about not trading for any contracts that extend beyond 2010... still doesn't make sense that he's holding onto 2 guys who he'll have to extend past 2010 in order to keep them tho if that's what he's doing, unless he's got some other plan in place to dump Curry & Fishlips, which is highly unlikely... i'm scratching my head if nothing gets done at the trade deadline this year.

Gooden and Nocioni are > Malik and Jeffries.

Nocioni is front loaded and has 6.25 in 2011 and a TEAM OPTION 7.25 in 2012.
Jeffries is trade kicked and would be over 8M in 2011, Nate would need a new contract, and Malik can't even play.

The Bulls simply offered a better deal hands down.

For us it's fine nothing went through, Salmons versus Jeffries saves us maybe a mil or two. Meanwhile Miller meant 20M+ more out of Dolan's pocket next season (including tax) instead of just letting Malik expire this season. Nate is worth more than that kind of deal overall.

Simply nothing to worry about here at all let alone try to make it into an anti-Knick bias or a fictitious thought that Walsh screwed something up.

Move along...there's other things we can and will do if not tomorrow then over the summer.

I'm curious to see what those things are. If nobody is interested in anything we have now, I don't see much changing this summer.

Teams still like Lee and Nate. They like Chandler. They like 2010 expirings if it comes to us doing a side stepping deal. We've got that. Nothing has changed here.

Just because the Kings deal never got going doesn't mean we can't and won't make any trades from here on out. Kings aren't a measuring stick for what we can do so I just don't see a big problem here. Besides that Kings deal wasn't exactly anything great for us anyway and the Bulls simply offered a better package. I don't see any big issue to make out of this.

They may like them but it doesn't appear we are trading them so that kind of makes moving guys like Curry and Jeffries very difficult.

Fair post...but if it was simply about money, we have two contracts that expire this year. If its about talent then Nate is a hell of a lot better than anything the Bulls could have offered.

If we still over the cap, then Marburys 21mil is really double that.

Dolan got money, but if he lets it expire its 40mil.

Give the plan some time. Dolan is not the best owner, but he still got the Money.

he'll bone up and pay but its really gotta be worth it.
