Im baffled how this conversation can go on for so long, it's utter ridiculous to think that gallo should start.

Guess MDA didnt get the memo, huh?

D'Antoni owns Briggs yet again.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Odd that he's not playing Gallinari 35 minutes like you suggested.

That's OK. Troy Aikman tooks his bumps and bruises his first year--it's good to get in there if that is where they plan to have you.

The thing I don't like about his play is that he stands there behind the three point line, no movement whatsoever. What's the deal with that?

If Gallinari is so good and healthy why doesn't he finish games?

It's because all he can do is hit wide open spot up jumpers.

i don't think this is true. this happened more and more as nate began freezing gallo out of the offense. i wonder if this move was designed to get gallo some floor time without nate completely ignoring him. it's gotta be better for gallo to play with a real point like duhon than a scorer like nate.

it looked like gallo's role on the offense was to go run to the corner and wait. so in essence, right now he is playing the role of 5th catch and shoot option. if the defense collapses it will get kicked out to the 3 remaining players not named lee or duhon. i think d'antoni likes to let his players make decisions on their own but if he wanted to get gallo more involved, i think he would stress it on his players.

Interesting thought but what is Duhon going to do for him? Duhon is best at pick and roll and driving and dishing. Gallinari isn't strong enough to do the former and doesn't play in the paint to benefit from the latter.

Gallinari also has a brutal handle. Notice all the talk of him being such a great ball handler is gone? He dribbles too high and he's really slow, especially his first step. Plus his decision making isn't nearly what it was advertised to be.

At this point the only skill that Gallinari possesses that is at an NBA level is his ability to hit a spot up shot from long range. With the 6th overall pick, I would have taken someone a little more skilled and less one dimensional.

I wonder if he can post up? That would help against smaller players. But yeah of this talk about him taking NBA guys off the dribble on a regular basis has been thrown out. He can go between the legs but he has trouble with getting that first step which is why he has been called for so many travel violations. I think he has to pick and choose when to try it. I would call it a learning process. It is beginning to look like for this season he will be used for spot up 3s. As I noted earlier that it look like the European players knew how to play him well by just staying tight on him on the side taking away his dribble room.

One of the most slow motion handles in NBA HISTORY. Foot work extremely Clumsy and Klutzy. Strength probably can't beat your grandma at Over The Top! Put this recipe in the post right now you're asking for 3 things to happen 99 times out of 100 and that's him getting ripped, getting overwhelmed with a double team, or traveling. Right now our coach is using him according to his current ability and that's to play a Larry Bird Statue because he can shoot the hell out of the rock if he has time then again so can Steve Novak from the Clippers or Jason Kapono from the Raptors.

He should be forced to watch Dirk's NBA story and how Dirk had to change his game because the NBA was better than he anticipated. He was forced to lift weights, learn how to post up, learn who you can or can't take off the dribble.

you would hope they are doing extra film sessions with the kid. if he has a bad back (recovering or still sore), the lifting may be off limits for a bit longer.

Bogut is averaging a double double and has had back problems all year. He has attempted to 'played through it' and has an 'actual diagnosis' from a doctor. He also is one of the leagues leading shot blockers.

I didn't think there was another way to practice the 'win now' attitude. If we're not making those kinds of deals in bad contract, then we're making them at the risk of someone's health.
