Suns are setting fast in the west (great pun!) and bleeding cash. Tix renewals for next year are gonna be soft. They got 35mil tied to two players.

This is not about the suns trying to get under for a FA, but get young cheap talent.

Mr Double Double Lee with Marbury saves them a bunch of money. Lee next to shaq might actually be an improvement for what they are doing. Lee gets things done.

I don't want to get rid of Lee. Maybe we need to think about Lee and Lebron being a nice tandem!

But if Walsh and MDA think this is a good Idea, then they should try.

I think it's becoming sacrilegious to trade David Lee. Every time I have even a shred of doubt the kid comes out with a better performance. If we trade him the basketball Gods will strike us down for another decade. So shall it be written--so shall it be done. Keep David Lee

Lee has gone from being a trade throw in to an bonafide Double double machine. Not a chisled go to guy but the guy who runs, rebounds and cleans up pretty darn good. He is our Oakley. Oak had some serious flaws in his game, and playing next to Ewing didn't hurt. Put Oak out there as your center and his flaws would be magnified.

My point is what would happen if we put the right players with Lee?

Oak was very good on the defensive side. That is where Lee is flawed. But Lee has improved vastly on the offensive side. Teaming Lee with Amare might be a good tandem.

If we're keeping Lee, and I think we are, we need a defensive center. Amare isn't that guy.

Everyone is vastly underrating Amare's defense. He isn't that bad.

when u say "the right players" i'm assuming you're talking about Lebron & Bosh? otherwise who are the right players to put around Lee that would bring a championship to NYC in your eyes? we can't get Lebron & Bosh to NY if we hold onto Lee, that's the whole point of why people are saying we need to trade the guy to begin with... if the goal is to remain mediocre & try to eek out playoff berths every year, then by all means, sign Lee & Nate to longterm extensions & pray that our draft pick turns out to be good this year... i got my sights set on higher goals, & yeah, i know it's a much bigger reach to attain those goals i'm after, but i'd much rather aim high & miss then to play it safe & keep my sights set low & hit... that's just me.

Im saying "chemistry!".

Im saying Oak was good because he was was next to Ewing. Ewing had oak to shoulder some of the rebounding, and go out on the perimeter for his jumper. Lee is carrying the front by himself and doing a hell of a job.

Amare CAN play defense, but he really gets into a fog sometimes. Granted, he is also trying to stay out of foul trouble. And you have shaq back there to cover you, it helps.

right now our team has terrific chemisty... the problem is they still stink... we need better players period... Amare is better than anyone we currently have by a significant margin... u gotta scoop him up if u can get him w/o giving up too much... we have enough guys left over who can fit w/Amare w/o any problems IMO... Duhon can play w/anyone & so can Gallo & Chandler... & the other guys are insignificant to our team's longterm future anyways.

Instead of putting players around Lee, shouldn't it be players we need to put Lee around?

So help me understand why the Suns would give up on a 20+ppg/8+rpg big man? Hmm... I guess we did the same thing with Zach Randolph. In the case of the Suns - he's practically the youngest player they have, the only true building block left (well, and Leandro Barbosa)...

The blog is saying Portland offers Lafrenz expiring, Bayless and Lamarcus Aldgridge for Amare.

Suns crazy to pass on that.

Yeah, they would be crazy to pass on that deal. But if Portland is willing to give up Aldridge, Bayless, and an expiring contract for Amare, why can't we trade them Lee for Bayless, Frye, and a second round pick. To me, that is a better deal for Portland in terms of overall talent.

Also, getting Bayless would allow us to trade Nate for a 1st round pick.

Don't worry he ain't comin to New York! Nobody's comin to New York because the word is out about management and most of all we stink!! I will always be a Knicks fan, but we stink and I can see us getting any better. Lebron can't save this team.
