This would be akin to Portland complaining about Stevie Franchises health when they found their sucker and dumped Zach on us.
It's utterly moronic.
This would be akin to you asking to use a lottery pick to get rid of the player like you wanted to. Sit back watch and learn son. He knows what he is doing,
Don't make me hurt you old man.
Let's see. I was talking about trading down from #6 to #16 to get rid of Zach. Knicks ended up with Gallinari and the Sixers ended up with Marreese Speights. Yeah, I stand by that and would take Speights for Gallinari in a heartbeat. And so would you. Funny how that worked out.

At number 6 they could've picked anyone they wanted to--that was the beauty of 6. They liked the player and they picked him--they could not have not have drafted him at 16. Just think about it--it cost nothing to get rid of him two days ago--yet you were willing to PAY heavily to get rid of him. Get it?
That "logic" is laughable. You're the type of person who would mock a contestant on "Deal or No Deal" for taking the $450,000 offer when the only 2 suitcases left were for $1,000,000 and $1, and they had the million in their suitcase. Bully for you that you can bank on hindsight but it's not worth the risk.
Yeah, their pool of players were larger by 10 but they picked a kid with a bad back who can't get through a summer league game. And there's no guarantee that he wouldn't have dropped to the 16th pick if they hadn't taken him. It sure as hell wouldn't have been the first time that a player dropped down from where some thought he could go.
Honestly, it's like I never left. You're still hung up on the rumored trade with the Sixers pre-draft, which amazingly enough still looks like it would have been a good deal in the Knicks favor. Get over it Briggs. You were wrong then and you're wrong now.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
