Anything wrong with adding a little of this to our offense?

mr earl is on fire!

Yep, in a strange twist of irony, you could make a strong argument actually did get the better end of the deal by getting Wilson Chandler and Eddy Curry for Noah, Thomas, Sweetney and Tim Thomas.
What's worse- getting hosed like Isiah, or hosing Isiah and blundering it. Anyway, I think Noah and Thomas will be much better once they're on other teams. |

And before you say it- I realize the cap implications change the equation. Just funny that on a talent level, thus far, it doesn't seem to have been as lopsided as it should've been.

I'm going to hang my ass out there and agree with Briggs.
I think Curry can be a useful piece, and y'all hating on him a little harsh. No D, yes. But if he can control his offensive fouls, I'm sure Mike can get a lot out of him -- maybe even teach him to pass... |

Posted by Panos: No hating here, just being realistic. He sure could help if/when he gets in shape, and Mike D will find some use to him and make him look good in his system somehow. But in the end, the best is to trade him for guys that could maybe help as much but have less millions in their contracts. Knicks_Fan

Posted by Panos: There are no plus's in your scenario here. And a big negative with 'if he can control his offensive fouls'? If that's all we can possibly get out of this guy, then it's simply not worth it at all. It's not hatred, it's plain and simple facts. For his size you should be talking about his boxing out the middle, rebounding and scoring almost at will. But 'offensive fouls'? Come on dude, you gotta give us more to believe in. I'll never trust this' team again.

I have been looking at the league and trying to figure out which team can use Curry. The obvious are there. Miami and Charlotte....but 1 team seems to have the players(contracts) and an extra pick that is very enticing. oklahoma City. They are in the bottom of the league right now and need players to help Durant. How about this trade..
Curry and DLee for Joe Smith(expiring), Wilcox(expiring) and their 2nd first rounder via Spurs. This deal can really fortify their front court. Curry, DLee and Durant would be pretty good. They have some defensive minded back-up centers in Sene and Petro. They also have Westbrook, Watson and Desmond Mason in the backcourt. We get rid of Curry's contract and parlay DLee into a 1st rounder so we don't have to pay him. Wilcox used to be promising but I really don't follow him to even pretend to know what he can do now. I think this is a good deal for both parties. |

Posted by NYKBocker: This is a very solid deal, though I would try to get THEIR first rounder in place of the Spurs' one. Why? Because D-Lee's value should be up right now and if they trade for Curry its because they plan to make him an important part of their team. But the deal you propose is solid. Hope it could happen.
