Ideally we would like to move everyone aside from the following Gallo, Chandler, Nate, Duhon can be a valuable piece for a contender and we will have additionally talent in the draft.

Lee is going to be packaged with Eddy and not be resigned, which needs to be done, thanks for the Eddy Curry trade Isiah. Nate is too valuable as he matures and can score at will, teams always need a player like that.

Jamal is going to opt out of his deal and he will not be resigned.

Zach for all his stats I think he is a good player but he is getting franchise player money, so I dump him for a young player they don’t even have to anything special.

I clear the cap and acquire draft picks and then I throw the House at Bosh/Amare and Lebron. I don’t see either staying in their current towns.

Duhon/Nate
Lebron
Chandler/Draft pick
Gallo/Draft pick
Bosh/Jefferies

That is more than enough to win a championship in this league. Chris Bosh has been relatively unnoticed and doesn’t get the advertising dollars in Toronto that he get’s here. Outside of Miami I don’t see another town that has more to offer. I bet these guys would take a little less two play together.

Incoming Players
Antoine Wright
6-6 SG / SF from Texas A&M
2.4 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 0.3 apg in 13.5 minutes
Jerry Stackhouse
6-6 SG / SF from North Carolina
5.2 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.1 apg in 17.6 minutes
Jason Kidd
6-4 PG from California
10.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 8.2 apg in 36.7 minutes
Outgoing Players
David Lee
6-9 PF from Florida
11.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.9 apg in 28.8 minutes
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
No games yet played in 2008-2009
Stephon Marbury
6-2 PG from Georgia Tech
No games yet played in 2008-2009

The Jason Kidd experiment is clearly not working in Dallas and perhaps the pick and roll would be a better fit. Diop can be traded and David Lee is an additional asset, we can always keep kidd for the season or package him for Odom/Marion for rental for the rest of the season

they should just engage the Clips & the Heat in a 3 way & do this:

NYK trades Zach & Curry
NYK gets Shawn Marion & Blount

MIA trades Marion & Blount
MIA gets Kaman, Curry & Mobley

LAC trades Kaman & Mobley
LAC gets Zach

Trade ID #4823256... this trade checks out on Trade Checker... i think it makes sense for all parties involved... LA & MIA both get the low post guys they need & we get the cap space that puts us directly in the 2010 market for FA's w/o taking a big loss in overall talent.

C - D Lee / Fishlips / Blount
PF - Marion / Gallinari / Malik
SF - Chandler / Q Rich / Ewing Jr.
SG - Crawford / Mardy
PG - Duhon / Nate / Roberson

I think pursuing Rasheed Wallace in a 3 team trade would be a good trade for us.

Rasheed would be the Ideal center for D'Antnoi. We could probably resign him at 6mil per season for 2yrs.

If that all went down it would save us 11mil in 2010-2011. Sheed,Chandler,Lee,Jeffereris would be a balanced group.

We would have a center and opened up the door for cap flexability in 2010.

I would say the cost would be

Eric Gordon Deandre Jordan a 2009#1 pick and whatever contracts that expire in 2009.

Sheed is a certifiable knucklehead but I'd welcome him with open arms. The thing with him though is that he tends to camp out on the perimeter too often and now that he's much older - he does it more often.

All the same, can't deny his drive and more importantly, HIS DEFENSE.

I was going to start a new topic, but what the heck, I'll post it here.

If Crawford and Collins go, does Marbury re-appear? Maybe Crawford was just being featured?

If Marbury plays and buys in to the concept, only for the sake of his own personal good as it is a contract year, the team may actually stay competitive.

Whachooguysthink?

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Hey why not. Who's going to quit on this team - young players like Chandler have to prove themselves every game. Lee and Robinson also as they need to keep their value high. Duhon won't quit or he risks losing his starting role. Curry can't even get started, so how can he quit. Q-Rich can quit, but who cares. The new guys will be energized to play. I say Marbury...BRING IT ON!!

i think it's gone too far between mike d and steph. it's a huge step backward for mike if he reinstates him. and it just puts the drama front and center again. knicks need to finalize the divorce with steph.

+1.

The longer this goes, the uglier it's going to get. This game of chicken has to come to an end and soon.

the day MDA reinserts Marbs back into the rotation is the day he completely loses the team again just like Isiah did last year.
