We're getting beat by a better team. Simple as that.

It doesn't matter if Red Auerbach was coaching this team with Jerry West as the general manager. We are not a good team with the current players that are on it. Get used to it.

I disagree about the Bucks being a better team in some respects. I just think you can't just say you are going to shoot 3 pointers when you don't have consistent 3 point shooters to begin with. Instead of adjusting to the team, he is trying to forced that square peg in a round hole.

Do you honestly believe that? Richard Jefferson and Michael Redd are both better players than anything we have and Bogut is a legit 7 footer that can play (something we clearly don't have). The Bucks will win more games than we will this season because they have better players. Simple as that.

Yes. When I look at the Bucks' roster I am not wowed by their star power. They have decent to good players. I think the Bucks will have similar trouble like the Knicks but I believe that they are being better coach right now and that isn't a knock on D'Antoni rather than what Skiles is doing. He is trying to play to the strength of his team on the other hand, D'Antoni is trying to make his team play to his coaching strength. Right away you are setting up your team for failure.

Honestly though, what can D'Antoni do to get more out of this team? If anything he is playing exactly to their strengths with his system. This team plays no defense whatsoever so the only way we are going to win is if we outscore opponents. We can't play an inside game because we have already tried that (with Zach and Eddy) and it failed miserably. With D'Antoni's system, the players have been unselfish and the offense looks significantly better than it did last season.

I'd agree with you if we had any major strengths to play to, but the fact is, we don't. This is a bad team and I don't think there is any strategy that can make this team a good one.

Phar, you keep emphasizing this. I think in a normal situation you are absolutely right, but when most of these players are going to be gone, it just really doesnt matter. You might as well have the players that are going to be left over (even if its only a few), be used to the style when the time comes.

You don't hire Bill Parcells or Bill Bellichick and then force either to run a 4-3 defense. These guys are going to run that 3-4 D no matter what and they will run it even when they don't have the proper guys in place to run it, because that is what they run.

The style isn't going to change, but hopefully the players will soon.

This team not only set for failure long time back but also already failed.
D'Antony cannot faile this thing even if he wants - it is at lowest possible point already.
Coach and GM are just checking who from this bunch of scrabs can be reanimated. Possible that nobody.

Just got home, missed the entire game. At a wedding....

Just looking over the boxscore, looked like Lee had a terrible night. Only 19 minutes, 0-2 from the field, 3 rebs??? WTF happened? He didn't get hurt did he?

This game set basketball back about 40 years.

If any of you made a won - loss prediction and I know just about all of them did not go over 40 (well, maybe one did), then keep that in mind, when looking at our won-loss record. How can we judge the season, when the season 'just started'?

Finest.. whats up bro. Hopefully that wedding had a good ****tail hour.

Lee played terrible and as terrible as Lee played, Jamal might have been worse. Zach didnt play well, took alot of shots out of sync of the offense. QRich played ok, he scored alot of points but he also missed about 3 wideopen threes when the Knicks were close to really making a run against the Bucks. Chandler didn't play well either. Everyone sucked and it's pretty obvious we gotta blow this thing up ENTIRELY.

But you clearly said it was 'horribly managed'. I don't think it's management. Lee, Crawford had only 1 point each at half time for example. There is something else going on here.

Why would the players care if Marbury is sitting in street clothes? There is nothing else going on here besides the fact that 80% of the players on this team simply are not that good at the game of basketball.

I'll make a post to better explain it.

Make sure you include some of those awesome preseason stats in there

Yeah, yeah. So much for that post. I got slammed shut by our good buddy Mod Martin.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Well, to me it's very simple. You come to the game and you take your shots and you make a certain amount of them, that should keep you close. But they just didn't bring the shots with them tonight. Shit happens.

As a matter of fact, Roberson outscored Crawford and Lee 6 to 4.

No resolution of the Isiah and Marbury situations, which have reared their ugly heads early. Seemingly little intervention in Curry's offseason habits. No acquisition of leadership. Wasting a roster spot for Jerome Joker Snacks.

My feeling is that Walsh figured he'd get a good coach and use this year to figure things out together with him. That's well and good in some situations, but not in a pressure cooker like this. He should have put some offseason energy into taking control, detoxifying the lockerroom and making space for rebuilding. Instead we have a bunch of players expecting key roles being shut out and fans feeling themselves deprived of a playoff season they somehow came to expect.

It's fine if DW and MDA need time for certain evaluations, but these issues with Isiah, Marbury, James and Curry should have been foreseen by anyone who follows the NBA even loosely.

Fair enough... definitely think there is room for improvement. I'm happy that the management culture has changed from change happening for change's sake though. I'm upset the Clippers deal didn't happen, as I think Randolph is more what the Clippers need than Camby and cap space and a trade exception + Lee could have netted a marquee player.

I'm not going to say this team is horribly managed yet, but I'm waiting until the month leadin up to the trade deadline to weigh in, though I will say there hasn't been any evidence contradict your assertion yet.

It's only the third game and already the world has ended.

I think that we just saw a blueprint of how teams will play us....clog the middle and make us beat you from outside with our 34% shooting percentage.
