Can we trade ATL Josh's older brother JJ-Lips....man they have a lot in common (resemble each other, both weigh 130 lb, both have horrific offensive games).

Josh Childress isn't a versatile offensive player, but he picks his spots amd shoots a nice percentage all around. He's pretty efficient. Jared Jefferies is a human disaster area.

do the Greeks have a dish for fried fishlips?

And playa.... Brandon jennings is going overseas because of the NBA age requirement.. childress is going for more money.... after 1 year, guess where Jennings is going to be playing ball?

Wait a minute, guys who go over seas go because they can;t make an NBA final roster and the NBDL doesn't pay enough.

So the guys who are going over there now are guys who CAN make NBA ROSTERS.

WHAT JENNINGS IS DOING COULD VERY EASILY SEND MANY PLAYERS WITH BAD SAT's overseas, considering how bad the highschool curriculim is in many inner city schools..

Mediocre guys playa.... in the end, it is still mediocre players who are going over seas. childress included..

as far as HS players, if they want to go to europe for 1 year.. that doesn't hurt the NBA. It Hurts the NCAA if anything.. Brandon jennings or any HS star who does that will just enter the NBA draft the following year!!!

How can you be sure he won't adjust and want play overseas for more than 1 yr right out of highschool ?

he can easily declare himself eligible for the draft next season and if he doesn't get picked where he wants to, then he can sign and stay overseas for a few more years, make $$$'s then come back here for a year or two and then sign a bigger contract.

Some guys just don't get it. The american dollar is plumeting and the euro is gaining, nba players/businessmen will see this as an opportunity, not a step back.

And what if this donaghy thing gets any bigger, looks like a great option to me.

because, he wants to play in the NBA. if he is a top 3 pick, he will get 3 guaranteed years and no doubt endorsements... and if he is a stud, he will get the vault, just like chris paul and deron williams did... Listen player, clean the sugar babies out of your ears... kids are looking at guys like deron and chris paul, how quick they hit the jackpot.. they are not banking on making money playing ball overseas.... come on man!!

then why isn't jos smith, ben gordon and others seeking deals from euroleague teams? why did danillo gallinari enter the draft here? why did bargnani? why is ginobili and parker still here? why playa? why?

Because OWNERS will pay for ther services in the states.

It's ridiculous how top Euro clubs are offering huge deals to NBA role players.

JC Navarro with a $20 mil/4 year deal
Delfino with a $11 mil/3 year
Parker offered $24 mil/3 year
Scola offered some huge deal and now Childress.

A trend can easily become popular to even bigger names if the money is right.

To that I say Childress take your money man and come back to the nba in three years. This could start to become a trend with players going to play in europe, i know the players that are leaving all seem to be average, but eventually they going to start offering the good players deals they cannot turn down. The nba needs to make sure this doesnt get of hand.

But It might be time for the NBA to raise the salary cap drastically to prevent these guys from going overseas.

That is the point player, role players, avreage players and washed up players have always been offered good money to go overseas.. Look at michael ray richardson and michael cooper, both were offered nice deals to go overseas towards the end of their NBA careers.. No big deal.

those guys you mentioned are not going to be missed... But let me ask you. How are euro teams going to even get these role players that have NBA roster spots without offering huge money.. Now the guys who can't make an NBA roster don't get big deals of course, but we all know this. It is nothing new..

The thing is, the NBA is still the best bball league in the world, and if you are a player, a good player, and allstar, or even a star, you get the money and the fame.. that is why the NBA is in no danger of losing the players that carry the league... End of story...

I missed that point.. I don't know about that playa, I mean should the NBA raise the cap so that they can overpay average players in fear that they might bolt to greece? Is that a good thing?
Josh childress goes, bad for the hawks, now this opens the doors for more guys like jamario moon to get a spot.. Honestly is josh childress that much better than moon? really?

Looks like NBA players are starting to look toward other places. Will the NBA be the best league in 10 years?

This is why I mentioned to you in my earlier post that a trend could be brewing.

The trend could be this, the best euros are coming to the nba and role players who have played on NBA rosters with some significance will get on the turnstile and bolt to europ along with top innercity highschool ball players , especially if the league ups the age limit to 20 years old two years removed from highschool.

yes playa, because the best NBA players are not looking elsewhere, while the best euro players are still comming here.... why is that so hard to see..

guess that would sorta dispell your "Euro Leagues is inferior" theory.

Not guys who were 6t men on nba rosters, these guys weren't bolting overseas only older players and scrubs. This is the new trend that could be brewing.

If you can't see that fine.

playa, for the sake of agreement.. Lets say this is a trend.. How does this hurt the NBA when 6th man quality players are replaceable and don't carry this league?
