And I will say this.
I think this Denver trade is being viewed as a monetary issue because the Nuggets took nothing back in return, but maybe they just wanted that trade exception so they could use it in a trade instead of a player? I really do think theres a chance Zach could land in Denver, I'm not saying it's a good chance, but I believe there is a chance. When you look at that team, it's built to win and while all of us here believe Zach does not help you win, I've seen GM's take chances on knuckleheads before. It certainly wouldn't be the first time.
But why wouldn't Denver then pursue Okafor or Smith in possible S&T.
why wouldn't the Clippers do the same for that matter? does anyone here think an NBA franchise would prefer Zach over names like Okafor, Smith, Camby, Marion? this is why i find that whole rumor so hard to believe... i may be totally off on this one but i have to think Walsh isn't THAT stupid. (i hope to God it's not true anyways)
I actually think Dunleavy thought it would be a win win situation for both clubs. He knows the Knicks want to get rid of Randolph's contract and he just got sucker punch with the Brand stuff. Has knowledge of the player, seen him play in the western conference. I am not that shock because I remember Donnie giving props to acquiring Z-Bo last year, also when he was hired. Still didn't understand why come it didn't work out. Maybe he views Z-Bo as a talented player who has a huge contract. Got greedy and it backfired.
