Not to beat a dead horse, but I thought ball handling was some thing we didn't have to worry about with Gallinari. Chandler showing out on offense and defense.

Listen do you really think anybody when being asked about the gall is gonna say he isn't ready ? No

They have to hype him up, Dantoni is friends with his father too.

I have seen enough , I have an eye for talent and I saw last yr the chandler could have been oour starting sf if he got the playing time that Isiah didn't give him.

DANILO GALLANARI is slow, he shows no handle and he can't jump compared to the NBA guys he will go up against.

This is a major dissapointment to me, he was picked at #6 overall.

He looks like he's yrs away from getting on the court and contributing.

So what happens to your eye for talent when this kid settles down and adjusts to the NBA game? It's way too early to go crazy about this kid yet. Even if he came out ripping it up, you still wouldn't be able to say that he's a lock to be great. It's gonna take time to see just what he's gonna be in this league and SL isn't gonna be enough to make that determination.

Wasn't expecting Nilo to be a great defender, but I'd like to at least see him get a hand in his man's face. Can't give up a shot that easy.

He seems to be a much better help defender than 1 on 1.

Yeah, I notice that too. He only had three days of real pratice time. Defense will be slow coming.

I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

Danilo doesn't look like he understands the American Game.

Damn, every time Chandler sits down, defense for the Knicks go down big time. What's up with Balkman, he looks like he is just out there on the court. Not the same energy he had last SL.

balkman doesn't care about playing basketball. he's getting his paycheck, shows up to games and that's the extent of the work he puts in.

I agree with that, he of all people need to work on his shot.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

i think you can tell who has game and who doesn't. does it look like he is just nervous or does it look like he's a serious project?

Knicks up 2 at the half. Balkman missed a lay-up that would have made it 4 at the buzzer.

Tough to say after only a half. I'll say a bit of both ?

To me Danilo seems like he understands the game and the game plan. He was one of the few attempting to constantly move the ball

The unselfishness and passing is highly visible.

IMHO he looks like he knows the game. He had some nice assists and is looking for his teammates a lot. He also talks on defense. I thought he got fouled a couple of times he penetrated but they did not call the foul.

i'm not watching this game but remember the guy is 19 years old and first game on foreign soil.

how are his movements? are they like hedo's in terms of fluidity? or are they mechanical?

Remember he said he loves pressure, yea he also makes love to pressure playing in Milan remember.

You guys cannot sit here and tell me you see anything promising from the gall other than getting rid of the ball.

What happen to his offensive prowess, what happen to his experience of playing against grown men in europe?

yup, he had a lot of nice passes and didn't get the ball much. It was great when he beat his guy then kicked it out for the three.

I didnt read anybody's post in this thread yet but I can assume that the roasting of Gallinari has begun and I concur. Dude is so hyped up it's crazy. I could have sworn Jared Jeffries was in the game. I question this pick at first and now it has been justified.

On a lighter note, Roberson and Chandler look great. Roberson is making the team. Balkman and Collins ( he looks real thin out there) look solid as well. I don't care if we win I just hope the second half Gallo can prove me wrong because he looks like a bust right now.
