The move is geared towards creating cap space more than anything else. RJ could have been had for much more if one is looking for actual talent. I dunno, the list of big time players moving through free agency is about as thick as the Obama voting line in the Appalachians.

Again, what does one do if Bron re-ups? Give Yi thirty touches a night?

i don't see why Harris, Yi & whoever they sign w/that cap space (doesn't necessarily have to be Lebron though that's who they're obviously targetting) can't coexist & be effective.

wouldn't be much better w/RJ in the mix over Yi & a bigname FA... in fact i think it would be a lot worse.

Jees you think you could get more for RJ than yi and some cap space. I consider RJ an all star in his prime.

Nets got wayyyy too cute on this one. Vince for Yi and Simmons, or something to that effect, I get. But RJ? This is adding a maybe on top of a maybe (Maybe Yi pans out, maybe we get Lebron) while giving up a definite --- RJ is a baller.
