Bobcats Gerald Wallace is for sale. He was offered up for T.J. Ford but the Raps rejected the trade because they wanted more from them primarily a pick.

He's a very good player. If Gallinari's projected to wind up at pf, Wallace is a good sf. Sf isn't a big need right now, but Wallace gives us very good value for Lee.

Something is on the table with Charlotte and DLee.

Lee for Felton doesn't work straight-up or in any real combination I can think of.

Lee for Augustine?

If we bring Wallace that blows up Walsh's plan.

There are only a few deals involving more than Augustine and Lee that work.
Could this be it???

Incoming Players
Gerald Wallace
6-7 SG / SF from Alabama

Raymond Felton
6-0 PG from North Carolina

Outgoing Players
Zach Randolph
6-9 PF from Michigan State

David Lee
6-9 PF from Florida

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

ESPN says Warriors offered Gilbert 5yrs $101mil

and now the Warriors have offered Brand 5yrs $90mil?

From the San Francisco Chronicle
The Warriors have offered free agent Elton Brand a five-year deal worth between $85 and $90 million, according to league sources.

Brand, like Baron Davis, opted out of the final year of his contract just before Monday's deadline, giving up a guaranteed $16.4 million for next season.

At the time, Brand's agent, David Falk, told reporters that the move was designed to create some cap flexibility for the Clippers to add another top-line player.

The most the Clippers can offer Brand is a five-year deal worth about $70 million due to salary-cap restrictions - about $20 million less than the Warriors.

Brand, who had been close to re-signing with the Clippers, is expected to make a decision today.

Is this even possible offer these two Free Agents these contracts simultaneously? I thought once a contract is offered it ties up a team's cap until the offer is pulled off the table. How are contracts offered are they done by submitting paper work of a quote to the league offices?

the only kind of offer that ties up cap space is if a RFA signs an offer sheet. then that team's cap space is locked up until the player's original team matches or turns down the offer.

otherwise, people can offer contracts willy nilly.

this is a game of musical chairs right now, when the music ends some players are gonna be left without a chair. like, the magic offered duhon half their MLE. that's great for him. unless corey maggette excepts their full MLE. so, it's all a game right now, people positioning. duhon knows we want him and we're at least a sure thing because we haven't offered anyone else that space. so, we shall see.
