So what's the Giants draft board looking like? Who did they get? I'm out and about and need a rundown.

Andre Woodson is a fascinating project at QB. Say good buy to the other Kentucky boy, JLoad I guess. He has a lot to learn, but has a big arm.

Robert Henderson, the other guy, I have no idea what his deal is...I'm finally stumped here...

LOL! Where's that thread? I was in the city on Friday night and I needed a random toilet. I need a refresher.

Wow... great, albeit it surprising pick, with Woodson

I'm surprised Woodson fell the 6th round, not a bad pick by Reese. I guess that means the Hefty Lefty's time with the team could be ending?

Maybe... i don't think this season though. Woodson takes forever to release the football. he won't be an effect NFL player until he gets rid of the ball faster. I wouldn't be surprised if the plan was to groom him to be the backup for next season.

Yeah but they cant hold onto 4 QB's... Eli/David Carr/Hefty Lefty or Woodson... one or the other.

this is by far the most enjoyable thread to read on this forum right now, other than the Alba thread obviously... but that don't necessarily encompass reading persay.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I am really excited about this draft.

It seems we got some good support for our awesome pash rush.
It seems like we got a good safety, who might be able to start pretty quickly and we got another db, who adds some length at the cb position.
And, then we solidified our linebacking core, which was probably looking pretty good with Kiwanuka, Pierce, and Wilkinson, anyway.

And, then we got a nice wr, who seems to have some serious upside, if things go well.

This is looking like a very good draft, both based on need and the potential of the guys we drafted. I just hope strahan sticks it out for another year.

Do you guys think that if the Jets hadn't traded ahead of the Giants to take Dustin Keller TE, that the Giants would have taken him and traded Shockey to New Orleans for their 2nd rd pick, 40th overall? They probably would have still been able to have gotten Phillips or the other top safety, Tyrell Johnson.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Nah. We need a safety and Kenny Phillips was the highest rated safety in the draft. I don't think we were looking at TE at all. If Shockey was traded we would have entered the season with Kevin Boss as starting TE no problem. Safety was the only hole in our great roster.

I'm not sure the Giants would have done that, but the team has made bold moves in the draft before. I think the Jets were just protecting themselves against the possibility. The reason Shockey isn't happy is because Tom Coughlin makes him block--God forbid. He wants to play like Jim Fassel used him... as a receiver lining up at TE.

Well, that's what Keller is. Keller looks like he's going to get statistics, but I don't think he'll be a great blocker. Tom Coughlin needs that for how he likes to run his offense. Keller is a small guy too, and Reese drafts guys with large frames, for the most part.
