And I'm ready to admit Kobe's proving me wrong. He's been great! I'd really enjoy seeing the Lakers vs. Celtics in the finals.

Or you could look at as being right. He's playing the game the way he should have been playing it, especially when Shaq left.

how do u figure that? doesn't make sense to me what you just said there... Bonn saying Kobe wasn't a franchise calibre guy when IMO he was means he's right how?

& what about Chris Paul, Yao, Amare, D Wade, AI, Dirk, Dwight Howard, Nash & Kidd? any change in your opinions about those guys?

Change in what sense? They're outstanding players. I've always thought that. As to whether they're franchise players, that just depends on how you define the term. Give me your definition of "franchise player" and I'll tell you which ones I'd put in that category.

I thought Bonn was referring to past conversations we've had about Kobe. Not the statements he made in this thread.

we already had this discussion & you named 3 guys, Lebron, KG & Duncan... my personal definition of a franchise talent is someone who you can legitimately build a team around to be the face of your team (in a positive way, not in the way Marbury is the face of disgrace for ours)... a player that you can be successful in terms of W's by doing so (not necessarily in terms of championships cuz that is sometimes largely a factor of luck & momentum streaks in sports)... they also will make players around them better... i consider everyone of those guys i mentioned to qualify as franchise calibre talent because of all those factors... i don't know what your definition is to set Lebron, KG & Duncan apart from the rest of those guys.
