Nate wasn't as sharp as he usually is and neither were any of our perimeter players. We really need more shooting. You look at a guy like House and you wonder why we couldn't pick up a guy like him to add another deep threat and make teams pay for doubling and tripling our post players.

Q was useless against Pierce, but Jared did was I expected he could do when we got him. The problem is that we get no scoring from SF to gain any advantage. Most nights we take a huge hit at SF and that has to be addressed.

It's absolutely amazing that in most of your breakdowns concerning this team it's always an offensive one. It's as if this is the only perspective from which you watch games. What about Perkins going nuts on our front court or what about Rondo running circles and driving to the rim at will? Our offense is bad mainly due to chemistry, which makes it appear it's worst than our defense. But our defensive problems are the biggest of our issues. When you always play catch up, it throws your offense off. In our last 5wins we've averaged over 100pts/gm. You gotta get away from the mentality we have to outscore or add more offense to our offense. Wasn't the Zach acquisition supposed to free up all this offensive opportunity? Today Perkins and Rondo beat us pathetic!

This team would have to improve exponentially in order to be able to stop a team like Boston. It's not likley to happen as presently constructed. My point is that if you look at why they started to pull away, it was mosty off of bad offense. We actually did play some good D for a while, but we were unable to capitalize on that and thus we ended up not coming close to scoring enough points to win.

The thing is that when we miss easy shots or turn it over like we did, that often leads to break outs by the other team, which TOTALLY destroys us defensively, since we're not that good at getting back on D. It's only your assumption that i'm not focused on D. Good efficient offense will only help our defense to be more effective. We have awful transition D and so we need to keep our offense running efficiently. When we're running our offense right, we get to the line a lot, which was happening early in the game and this slowed the game down and allowed us to set up on D, which helped to keep them from running on us or getting good early offense against our D before it got set. We stopped sharing the ball as much also and this made it easier for them to defend us. We stopped attacking them off the dribble and again that made things easier for them. Missed opportunities after we got the score to 48-45 with 3 mins left before the end of the half. Despite the poor defense, we started to climb back, but then we went into a stretch of awful offense which gave them a lot of easy opportunities. In succession Jamal turned it over, Jamal missed a layup, Jared Missed a Layup, Randolph missed a layup, Jamal fouled Rondo and then Jamal TO, Jared TO and Curry TO. The half ended 59-45 Boston. BAD OFFENSE!!!

Dude you really need to know that I know basketball and you couldn't possibly teach me anything about the game that I haven't seen in over 30 years of playing and watching the game. Don't be so presumptuous as to believe that you have figured me out. You have no clue.

First of All let's give the Celtics credit for being one of the better defensive teams in the league

Every team goes on runs and droughts throughout a game. We closed the half poorly just like the Celtics played a poor end of the 3rd and start of the 4rth things like that happen. The difference wasn't anything you stated whatsoever. It was allowing a player such as Kendrik Perkins to score 25pts 4pts better than his career high and Rondo going on a one man scoring run. Matter of fact Chew on this for a second..... here are the career high games this yr against us thus far while you're crying about offense

16gms of career highs. 40+% of the games we play we let a player or two have career highs against us. That's an alarming and staggering statistic. Not to mention look at some of the names. During the Telecast 1 HOF and the other a Referee who have forgotten more about the game than you'll ever know stated things today played out according to the numbers. Well what are those numbers "Mr. I have 30yrs of watching this game" which amounts to Jack Squat......

Boston #1 Team in the league in Opponents FG% they allow 42%fg....Knicks shot 43%fg(league average is 44% BTW) tonight against them when you factor in Celtics being the top defensive team in the league well our offense overall faired well

Knicks #30 Team in the league in Opponents FG% they allow 47%....Celtics shot 54%fg tonight against them LOL @ you. You won't beat any team in this league allowing 54%fg shooting Luva, which happened to be 7% higher than our league low average

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/statistics?stat=tmcompare&sort=
fg%&league=nba&season=2008&seasontype=2&avg=pg&order=false&split=999

The rest of game stats were almost a cancellation across the board. Our FT's taken and made canceled out the poor 3pt% differential Ast=, Reb=, Stls=, TO's=. The largest disparity was FG%

Should I continue or are you ready to say UNCLE now?

I developed this thing called Scrub of the night. Now it is for guys who are normally non impact players who have career games or seasons best vs the knicks... now someone of course like lebron, bosh and ming don't count, but that list is full of guys some if not most of us consider scrubs. or is some want to act self righteous, less than average players..

Pecherov , gray and brooks, basically for what they did, molested us.

dunleavy, Turkoglu and nazr, average players destroyed us... And the list goes on as true blue posted..

Now I often get upset because It seems like they only do this vs the knicks... and that is true, these guys circle their calenders when theyplay the knicks, the word gets around, the knicks offer little resistence on defense, and if you play hard enough and are patient, defensively they give up.. I wonder, who the hell is teaching these guys defense?

We're ranked 30th in FG% that's dead last so obviously it's not being taught or enforced. Now our offense is pretty inept but we're ranked like 23rd I believe. Our defense is 7 spots away from our inept offense. If our defense was at least 23rd we probably have a couple more wins on the season. Nix always has some complaint against a variation of our offense and gives only blanket complaints against the D. The Knicks also rank 22nd in the league in Points Allowed. Like you said teams lick their chops coming to play us.

our offense is not that good, and it is so overrated. Our offense is the ability of nate and jamal to break down their man and score, and zach the black hole to hit shots... Curry is a bulldozer who just flips the got damn ball at the hoop... Jeffries is horrible as is Q... there is no ball movement, no cutting, no flow.. Our bigs are terrible when it comes to seeing the floor. The sad thing is that lee probably is best served as a 6th man but getting at least 30mpg, but he is often forced into action to do the things that zach and curry don't do... I wish people stop with the knicks offense being good. we have a few good offensive players, but if you take out jamal, zach and nate, this team could not score 50 points!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is one of the worst offenses I have seen. I mean listen, even with a bad defense, a horrible defense, if our offense was as good as some make it out to be, I guarantee you we would have around 18-19 wins by now..

I can buy that. Even at one point during the season I mocked that our offense could be worse than our defense but the truth of the matter we have an overrated offense and our defense is the worst in the NBA. You can look at our own division. New Jersey and Philly score less/gm than we do Atlanta score about the same, New Jersey's fg% is worst than ours, so is Chicago's and Cleveland's but each of these teams are better defensively and thus have better records than we do by 3-4gms/avg. If this team was 3-4gms better do you realize how much sperm would go to waste over it?

sperm, lotion and trees from all the tissues used.. LOL..

but seriously, I am at a loss bro, because the way I see things, even the first pick in the lottery is not going to fix this mess. we need several players.....

If that first pick gives us a Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Brandon Roy caliber player it wont immediately fix it but will get us on the path to a brighter future. We have no with the squad we have now.

do you see that player in the draft. I think rose will be a difference maker, but he is so damn young at the PG position..

Personally I don't want Rose but

Gordon=possibly Roy
Jordan=possibly Bynum
Rose=possibly Paul
Beasley=possibly Amare

I watched the portland vs Atlanta game today,and roy really domianted the ball today, I mean he really did the same thing that people complain that jamal does. He and joe johnson. The difference is that both guys play for teams that seem to have a sense of direction. Honestly I think jamal is going to be here, so I guess the question is, which of these guards will pair up best with jamal...

As far as beasley, he is no where amare. Amare remember was an elite level athlete, honestly on the level of Dwight Howard if not better, especially before the knee surgeries...

Gordon is good, but is he another roy? or another Ben gordon?

That Jordan kid, I watched him this weekend and didn't even notice he was in the game...

I like rose because he has a true distributors mentality and is as athletically gifted as anyone..

Uhhhhh you might want to open your eyes a little more when it comes to beasley. I may not be doing him justice with description he's like an Amare with handles and a jumper. His athleticism is there

thanks for the video. but honestly david lee was doing those types of dunks in HS too... Amare is on another planet athletically . Beasley is impressive, but there is something about this kid, I don't like, especially when he opens his mouth...

He is a nice player, but no where near what amare was, physically..

I think rose is the best athlete in the draft....

Yeah, if you watch beasely play he appearss to be closer to 6'8 then 6'9. The guy is too small to be a nab power forward.... or a great on atleast IMHO. I think watching him appear to be the same size as Harangody really changed my mind on Beasley.

There isn't a Chris paul coming out... that's for sure.
