Scapegoatbury

He's not going anywhere, at least this year. They aren't buying out another huge Isiah mistake for $40M and he has no trade value right now. Next year he might as an expiring contract. But Isiah should never be allowed to stick around to attempt to trade him.

Seriously, how many examples do people need to see that Isiah is an idiot and has no idea what he's doing? Isiah's tenure here has been one huge cluster****. So when do the Knicks have to give up another unprotected first rd pick to finish the Starbury trade?

Give Isiah a few more years of losing. All the players he put together are still developing and need time, as he stated before. We'll be in decent shape once Jerome James gets healthy also.

Do you think we will be able to win it all in D-league by then after moving to Harlem?

reading q's comments...they had a coach that was a disciplinarian type with lb 2 years ago and that didn't work. now they have a "mentor" and "friend" in isiah and that didn't work.

is it the players?
is it the coach?
or is it marbury?

Its no so much the coach as it is the GM. You're only as good as the product you're putting out there. In Isiah's case, the problem is both the GM and coach. Look at Pat Riley, he's lookin like crap right now with that depleted lineup. Only Isiah's punks would allow Miami's 18 game skid to come to a halt.

None of the above.

It's the Team President and GM.

He's the one that took authority away from the disciplinarian by not backing him because he was afraid it might expose the horrible roster he put together. LB was just another scapegoat in a long list of them to cover up Isiah's mistakes.

If we were going to go this route, why didn't we buy Steph out before the season and keep Nichols?

I'll be happy to see Steph go, but I'll believe it when it happens.

I really don't see how its more of Dolan's fault than it is Isiah's. Don't get me wrong, Dolan has made his fair share of mistakes, none greater than Isiah though. I know he initiated this mess by bringing him in here, but he gave Isiah an opportunity. There is nothing greater in American capitalism than opportunity. And there is nothing worse than a failed one.

He allowed Isiah to spend freely for a half decade, and what has he rewarded his owner with? Nada my friend. He threw a bunch of horse S-hit on the wall, and only 2 things stuck were David Lee and Renaldo Balkman.

The biggest knock I have on Dolan is not firing Isiah sooner, because its definetely coming this year.

BYE BYE!!! If you're getting sad about Marbury supposedly leaving, don't. I live in New Orleans and I can see the shine from his head here. So, whenever it's sunny in NYC, he'll always be with you,.

If Steph gets bought out, do you think he'd go to Boston? Back with KG? Then they would really stomp us. Or maybe he'd ruin their team.

Danny Ainge has to be a fool to let a mentally/physically/emotionally depleted Marbury prevent Rajon Rondo from becoming a good young PG.

no risk proposition for anybody that picks him up.

if he doesn't behave, you cut him since it's only the vet's minimum pro-rated.

NO WAY. There's no way they bring him in to destroy the chemistry they have going there.

I just don't know if I can see Dolan allowing Isiah to buy him out. Marbury is going to want every dime of that contract (as he should) and thats 42 million to just go away? That's quite a bit.

Danny Ainge has made so many sarcastic comments in the Boston press about the NY guards that I really can't see that happening. Honestly I think Steph will be a Knick for the length of his contract

The chemistry might somewhat improve is Steph can get those guys to wear his Starbury sneakers, but only if each player writes "all alone" on them.

there is no way isiah can trade marbury- doing so validates that marbury is unrecoverable as a player- if Isiah can't get through to him, who can?

If he's going anywhere, its via a buy out- and even if he is bought out, I can't see any team signing him.

Dolan might be to the point that he thinks Marbury is retarding the development of the younger players (Lee, Collins, Curry) and accepts the Marbury experiment is over.
