i love a Met fan that goes to watch games in the urinal that is Shea Stadium talking about the "dump in the Bronx"

Yankee fans are front runners? not any Yankee fan I know, & I know many... personally speaking i have been following this team avidly since '77 & stuck w/the team through a few of the bad years in the mid 80's when half the stadium was empty & the only thing worth watching was Donnie Baseball... while there are many frontrunning Yankee fans, i'll tell u right now that none of the ones I know are... on the contrary, Met fans do more whining on the airwaves than any fanbase i know besides maybe Boston fans everytime your team loses, & do more trashtalking on the airwaves in May when your team gets off to a good start & proclaim yourselves champions of the world when there's about 120 more games left to play in the season.

nice choke job to end the season btw... at least our team made the playoffs.

Well unless you were born around 1915, you're a front runner! Mets fans appreciate the game of baseball and the spirit of competition. Sure we whine more, it's called being a baseball fan during a long and grueling 162 game season with many ups and downs. I'm sure if you listened to sports talk radio in Chicago or Philly, you'd hear lots of whining there too.

And yes we choked, but I'm sure if we had 100 million more in payroll like your beloved Yankees had, we would have made the playoffs too. But even if we squeaked in on the last weekend, we did not deserve to go and would have just gotten crushed in the playoffs like your Yankees did.

look man, both our teams had very disappointing ends to the season, there's no question about it... i actually look forward to the day where the Yankees & Mets can play again in a subway series... 2000 was the most fun i've had as a Yankee fan in a long, long time.

That 2000 series was not fun because we had Armando Blow-Nitez. He cost us game 1. I thought BV did one hell of a managing job just to get us into the World Series. I would have thought you would have said 1996 was your most fun season, because you hadn't won a WS in a long time. And then the comeback against the Braves after getting whomped the first 2 games I'm sure made your little Yankee heart glow.

as far as favorite Yankee teams, '96 was unquestionably that... but i had more fun not counting just the baseball aspect exchanging barbs w/trashtalking Met fans in 2000 & revelling in the satisfaction of beating their asses in 5 games.

"& Piazza gets into one... That ball is hit deep to Left Center... back does Bernie... near the wall... he's got it... AND THE YANKEES ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF BASEBALL!"
