Pres, JJ3 gets stashed in Europe, we cut Dickau, roster now down to 16.

Jerome James better come to play.

I bet Nate and Balkman are lock bait now, no doubt about it, probably for Artest.

Because we acquired the draft rights to Jared Jordan?

You guys are amusing. Seriously amusing.

Here's hoping Jared Jordan pushes the intellectual level of backcourt play up a notch

Marbury sets the bar pretty low so it's not a big hump to get over.

I thought the same thing. Man, Marbs plays well offensively, but I really feel like I am listening to a certified imbecile when he talks.
You know I gonna spin wit it

this move makes no sense unless there is a deal on the horizon involving some combination of crawford, nate, marbury, dickau, collins-

my only thought is the clippers weren't going to sign him and isiah saw an opportunity to acquire him cheap- and they know that he will stay in europe for 1-3 years.

UGH! I really don't know what the hell is wrong with some of you guys. Can't you for once give Isiah credit for #1 knowing talent, #2 getting good value pick ups like this all the time, #3 not being tied to "his players" as some of you have accused him of in the past. You guys are really underestimating Isiah. You're so convinced that he doesn't know what he's doing or what he's been doing the last few years, that you can't use a bit of reason when it comes to assessing moves like this.

The guy is skilled at running a team. What is it that we have a big concern about... future floor leadership. Even if he's not gonna take over tomorrow, at least accept that this could turn out to be a GREAT move down the line. It's as if many of you are forgetting that this team is about the next 5-7 years and not just this season. It's called insurance. If one or two of our young guards works out, then great. We know Steph won't be around much longer, so this makes all the sense in the world. Just give it a shot and see how he develops. Of course there's always the chance of a deal to reduce the roster, but even if that doesn't happen, it's good to go to camp with options and let them fight it out. Isiah has been getting better and better as a GM and you guys are missing it. He's been staying away from bad moves and doing more low risk moves like this. I'm excited to see how this kid does.

Can't argue with this move. I like it. Low-risk, high rewards type of move. The only issue is open spots on the roster. Otherwise, it looks like a good move. I thought Dickau could be the backup PG -- but clearly he isn't in the plans. This trade would indicate that Jordan is. Right now, there's room for him on the 15 if you give up Dickau (I think now this is a given), Jerome James and one other player.

Great pickup. The kid can run an offense, which is really what we need. Now IT just needs to get rid of the dead weight.

Jared is a good player, but if we are going to go with clips and playing big time Nate is ridiculous.

Nice little doc. Was Nate really that good or was it the song that made him look better?

I said it before, I'll say it again. If he was just two or three more inches taller, he'd be a bonified star in this league. The thing that makes him exciting is, for the things he can do, while being only 5'-9". That's great, but/and I said it when they drafted him. We needed height, not hype. In other words, his numbers are great for his height, but the numbers aren't enough because he's too short. I don't know, maybe the quickness he has makes up for some of it, but that little extra comes in handy.
I'll never trust this' team again.

What distractions?

Basketball is back and Isiah is wheelin' and dealin' as usual

The Knicks haven't had a pure point since Rick Brunson left the premises (nor do "pure" lead guards grow on trees) so of course the move makes sense

just hope the brotha gets a decent uniform number

Oh god' Rick Brunson was a bum!

I remember clowning the rumor that isiah was interested in this guy. So now the knicks own this guys rights. Knicks might not even sign him.

Crazy, crazy, crazy.

What does isiah have up his sleeve? He obviously has something brewing. I'm at the edge of my seat!

Maybe..........................here comes Kobe?

I need a happy face that looks up, whistling. Hmmmm.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Bonn's right about him not seeing much time this year. One thought. Isaiah wanted Nichols to play in Europe for a year. Maybe he'll try to get Jordan to do that. This is strictly a long range move, but it's a good long range move. There's no downside and lots of upside.

I also agree with Markji's thought about a multi-player deal. Our strength is our depth. If we can trade quantity for quality, that's a plus. A variation on this would be a player for a future draft pick if the other team has cap space.

With our luck, players who come from Europe or who play in Europe, stay' in Europe.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Sure! When his teams start playing some damn 500 and above basketball and start making the playoffs and taking it to another level, yeah, we'll give him some credit. But until then, he hasn't accomplished squat!

Stop crying about losing. The knicks have gotten better this offseason abd there is probably another mix up on the way. Be happy and just enjoy thiese happy feelings for now. save the bitching for the season. Hopefully this year there won' be anything to complain about.

Bonn1997 - you are getting to far ahead of yourSELF dude. No one knows what Isiah has up his sleeve next because even HE doesn't know.

If "past history" is any indicator the Knicks will continue to be a work in progress...
for the rest of the century!
