Once again I refuted Luva's standard/basis for which to compare when he and MS used Zach's comparison to the Elite and I followed suit with Curry. No one was comparing our players to average or below players in this thread. Why would/should we? And the fact the stats reveal Curry is barely above average makes it even more embarrassing.
I never said that the PER stat was the ONLY basis for comparison of a players worth to his team. That's your assumption, cuz it makes it easy for you to attack me. As usual you want to oversimplify things cuz it suits your purposes. All I'll say is that I fully explained how I feel we need to look at Curry's contributions to this team. I said that the guy is such a force inside that if you don't send doubles and triples at him, he can't be stopped and since he's at point blank range and scoring at a 57% clip he MUST be given more than the usual attention. The guy also get's an avg' of 8 FTA's a game. He's getting that mostly in our set offense and last year was just the start of the process of adjusting this team to fit around what he does and getting him to make better use of his skills.
Curry already is beginning to improve his passing and if we can get our perimeter shooting and post feeding up to the level we need to, this is gonna be a very good team. As I said no one held him out to be a high production player, if I did then you could call me on it. You just want to try and find something negative to talk about, but you failed to give him credit for what he does for this team, as if it's unimportant. Aside from Shaq there's no other player who is as dominant inside.
LOOK! Is the team better than it was at the start of last season? HELL YEAH! It's MUCH better. No Francis and No Frye. We have a better player in Frye's position and we don't have Francis to muck up the works. We already established a base to build from last year and that will help us to start off better.
