LOL. Isola summed up: Isiah has no plan, Balkman needs jumper, doesn't like the Randolph move because it interferes with Curry, loves the fact that Riley can get Mo Williams, likes the fact that Miami is in the hunt for Artest though he is concern that they have to break up their young team and likes what every other team is doing besides the Knicks.

Isola brings up a lot of good points. Makes a lot of sense.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Nice game... not much competition. I want to see Balk's statline.

You think one of these games he could get a quintuple double with points, rebs, assists, blocks, steals?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Interesting. I'll need to watch the video tomorrow. Balkman sounds like a beast. I think the Knicks can afford to play him at the SG/SF positions - as long as the other wing player can shoot. You can also play him at PF for stretches because he's capable of playing big too.

The thing about Balkman is that he really doesn't seem interested in shooting the ball. It's not like he freezes on the floor when gets the ball when he's open. He just decides to do something else. He makes things happen - he makes his teammates look really good.

Based on the statline, it looked like a solid enough line for Randolph Morris. I think the guy is ready to contribute. He's not an off-the-charts athlete (he's no Dwight Howard), but he plays the way a big man should and looks like he's an order of magnitude better than your typical journeyman cente. More fluid footwork and quicker than a Nazr Mohammed.

It's interesting - Nichols, perhaps on another team (or if/when the Knicks backcourt falls apart w/ injuries again!), could be a Wesley/Chuck Person-type and contribute right away. He seems more NBA ready than Chandler, who's not far behind (just different skills).

Chandler reminds me of Eddie Jones a bit, anyone else?

Morris is a more refined Jackie Butler. He'll be a solid backup for us.

Nichols was freezing on the perimeter a little in game 1, tonight he took the shots when they were there. He's gooing to be nice for us.

Balkman, you just can't overstate what a game changer he is.

Chandler is a versatile, old-school forwards with crazy AA for a 20 year old rook. It seems like he spent the time between college and the draft working on his shot and game.

Nichols was sick tonight, and still fit in and made his threes. Wasn't as strong as last night, but still made a contribution and it was good to see him play through whatever was bothering him.

Balk needs a jumper and he needs to can his FT's, other than that, he's outstanding. He and the rest of the young guys need to take more pride in their passing, but that should come with coaching.

Morris is hard to get a fix on, sometimes he looks like he's got some hands and feet and AA and other times he doesn't. He gets his boards in either state, but I hope to see the hands and feet every game.

There was some nice vision on display tonight by the young Knicks.

Man this team is stacked from player 1 through 15. Most teams have scrubs as their 13, 14, and 15. The Knicks have potential starters.

Nichols continues his soldid play. I don't think that senior year was a flash in the pan, this guy is good. I was worried because being a 'Cuse fan I had seen him play under his potential his first 3 seasons and while some of that can be attributed to a hearing problem, I still wasn't so sure his senior year wasn't a flash in the pan.

Nichols could end up being the steal of the draft, I hope his shooting touch continues.. we need it.
