You do realize Nixluva along with Mistearl team up and throw darts at the Hater crowd? using the word loosely. Or were you not aware of this? We'll be talking about whatever and out of the blue they'll start one of their skits on this board.

Look, lover and hater are, unfortunately perhaps, Knicks basketball lingo. Its all in the context. Ill use this thread as an example, even though from what isles said, and what I then read in the other thread its probably a bad example. You didnt surround cossucks and accuse him of being anti-isiah or pro-isiah. There is a context to those things and when kept within basketball constraints are simply an anger-management-deficient way of getting your pro or anti Isiah point across. Surrounding a poster with nincompoop, troll, loser, gay robot, whatever IS bullying. It has no basketball context whatsoever, and can be compared to a bunch of kids pushing the fat kid around in the playground. I have kids in school. When my kids get bullied, I get involved. I was the short little one with freckles when I was a kid, and I can tell you bullying is not fun from the other side. Im grown up now so I can laugh at my own experiences, but Ill be damned if I let someone else bully my kids, or anyone else when Im around.


What happens when there's more clarification on the word HATER when it's followed by "YOUR NOT A FAN OF THIS TEAM" and "WE NEED LESS FANS LIKE YOU".

Thanks for the low expectations True, but nah, I dont need it. You see "not a fan of this team" and "less fans like you" are why youre on this forum in the first place. It is an opposition to your opinion. Its not an attack on you, its an attack on your thoughts and beliefs as pertains to the Knicks. If everyone thought you were the greatest and eveything you say is gospel, how long do you think these forums would last? Non-Knick related is something totslly different, and is worded in much harsher language.

Can't we all just get along? Sit back, take a toke, and enjoy some Bob-mon.

I find the statement "You're not a fan of this team", offensive. No I don't expect what I say to be accepted as Gospel. I've openly disagreed with Isles, Solace, Blue, dj, Martin, Andrew etc etc without any problem or ever have to worry about such insults(different than currently discussed) coming from them.

I think the "hater" and "lover" nonsense is pretty childish. Many were called haters for not liking the Steve Francis trade, and the JJ signing and the JJ2 signing. We see how those have worked out. It's just so easy to throw a label out to discredit someone when they don't agree with your point of view. You can see examples on this site, in race debates, immigration debates etc. Some people are just afraid of the other point of view and throw out an offensive name in order to avoid analyzing and listening to the other side.

I was called a hater by 2 or 3 posters for simply asking the question "what if Marbs and Stevie can't work". I never gave my opinion until just before the season started. But simply asking the question was enough to raise the ire of those fans. Now I know if there is a tough topic they will not discuss it. I've learned.

TrueBlue! YOu're a fan. In England, you'de be called a punter. Punters sit in pubs and argue about whats good for their team. Noone agrees! Thats the fun of being a real die-hard fan. And when a real die-hard fan hears something he doesnt agree with ie all the time, he's likely to question your alligence to the cause. Thats what makes it so much fun.

If you go by the boards definition of haters and lovers the biggest hater associated with the Knicks is Isiah Thomas. Isn't he constantly trading players away and "looking for ways to improve the team".

All well and good, if you trust the guy who wrote the original article, or if you trust the guy who wrote the blogpost thereafter. I dont know either of these guys, nor have I ever heard of them before, and therefore see no reason to treat their words as gospel. They could well be true for all I know, but they are definately unsubstantiated.

All TrueBlue was asked for was an acceptance of the fact that this whole shpeil, from Prichard to Roy to the reporters is all totally unsubstantiated, and to proclaim it as "Brando Roy Told PDX Brass Get Zach The F Out Of Here" is both wrong and misleading.

TrueBlue's refusal to do that is just one more example of his weak-chinned, facually-corrupt, online-bullying persona. To defend him on this, and not only that, but to call into question another posters perhaps overly-aggressive questioning of the facts as given by god to TrueBlue is both wrong and beneath you, Solace.

I think you are a great poster Solace, and an asset to this or any other online forum, but perhaps you should find better friends. TrueBlue makes me long for the incomprehensible days of Diderotn.

First, firefly, I think my initial post was a little too harsh and I appreciate the compliments. I think some of the argument stemmed over from another thread, but regardless, I apologize for not giving a more thorough and fair response.

He once called me Bobo for a year when he clearly knew my name was Bippity. It's that type of posting that probably got him kicked off the other sites he's been on. Solace is the worst poster I have ever seen, and although I have never met him in person, I will assume that he is an even worse person.

Bringing Randolph here is another example how certain Knicks fans are playing a part along with Isiah and Dolan in destroying our team. You know who you are. It's not about "winning" a trade in the short term. This ain't fantasy basketball. I think you guys are finally coming to that realization now. However, if Isiah remains and we're able to somewhat pull ourselves out of this present mess, don't get all giddy again if Isiah manages to trade Jeffries, Malik Rose, Lee and whatever leftover sh it for Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas, and Rahim. Please stop.
