blueseats - not the same homeboy.

Zach may not be pretty, or satisfy the media-driven thrist for a marqee-type hero to make the girls scream, but how can one trivialize his basketball ability?

Forget the slumped shoulders, his sinister visage, his past and his pin-shaped head. Forget the African body type and forget the folds in his neck dripping greasy sweat on the floor and ask yourself one simple question...

Why kind of matchup situation does Zack Randolph create for opponents at power forward?

These were the similar justifications used to justify why marbury/francis should work.

How soon we forget when eddy was out in foul trouble, oppossing teams got up on our shooters because of no other low post threat.

Wake up people eddy didn't stay in every game, Z-BO will help much when he doesn't and our offensive attack stays the same not just perimitter oriented.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

and misterearl, can you spare us the innuendo about his looks. Oden is as ugly as they come but nobody who sleeps with the knicks would kick him out of bed.

Yet the team's offense looked better (and actually was better statistically) when Eddy was on the bench than when he was in the game.

BlueSeats - nope. I ain't changing a damn thing. I write what I feel. If you can't deal with that then go have a donut.

This ain't a popularity contest.

check it out. "Only four other players averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds last season."

The others?

Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Carlos Boozer and Chris Bosh."

My intentions?

Truth, justice and the American Way dude.

BlueSeats - other than the snippy, junior high school cheerleader personal attacks, what are your intentions?

sheesh, do you ever talk basketball from an intellectual perspective?

BlueSeats - one more thing. That was not one ounce of innuendo in describing Zach Randolph's appearance.

Dem was facts.

Deal with it.

bonn - Portland is located in an unique, small-town feel, market. The team is linked to the pride community similar to the Packers in Green Bay. It's the only professional franchise in the state.

The problems with player behavior ran counter to the family-oriented atmosphere and goodwill the Blazers seek in terms of image. The pacific northwest is conservative country. You can't be a bad-ass.

Zack, just like Sheed, Might Mouse and the rest of the troublemakers, HAD to go.

With the personable and talented Oden, their makeover is simplified. Channing Frye provides another intelligent player of good character, who might also fit a need in their frontcourt.

(In my humble opinion, the Knicks made a two for one swap as Dickau and Jones will be pressed to make the active roster and can be easily bundled iin another deal or bought out

Isiah Thomas has the responsibility to continue to lay down a strict code of behavior to all the Knicks, Randolph especially. to get them to cohere as a team by January.

Mark Aguirre has his work cut out for him.

Bonn - Do you think the Knicks leadership, that still includes Herb Williams, can handle Zack?

Martin - what personal attacks?

I have NEVER attacked anyone with a personal insult. Never. Chin music, maybe, but it was never initiated in a malicious manner, unless someone provoked it. you can scroll back if you like.

what is the problem, you can't stand in against an inside fastball or sumpthin'?

what is a "cheerleader personal attack" anyway?

If I stand with the Knicks team, why is that a crime?

Not true, the knicks were a +33 with nate and mardy running the back court with eddy up front with Malik. Marbury was the problem, not eddy.

how about you stick to basketball talk then. Seems like threads that you post to always deteriorate and end in "what personal attacks?" by you.

Stand with the Knicks and let everyone else stand with their opinion.

Just for the record Martin, don't you also admit that I have initiated some of the more entertaining headlines on this board?

That may explain why they let him go but not why they let him go *for so little*. If he really was such a good player, you'd think they could get something decent for him.
