Charlie Ward in his prime was a better point guard than any we have on the team and the only guard we have that has a chance to be a better point guard is Mardy Collins. I always liked Ward's game, and thought he did a lot of the little things that went unnoticed. I'd take a Charlie Ward over Stephon Mebury any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Damn you, you got me on that one. I'd take him over starbury also.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Ironic since Barfbury said the Knicks would never win with Ward. Yet, the Knicks got to the finals with Ward and may have won it, if not for injuries to Ewing and LJ playing hurt. Marbury, so far, hasn't led the Knicks to a winning record, nor a single playoff victory. You decide.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Mardy was GREAT tonight, 2nd good game from Nate and Balkman and Jared were solid. This is what I want to see out of the young players on this team. Play hard and learn from the extra playing time. The more you see of Mardy and Balkman, the more you have to respect Isiah's drafting. Overall he's made some really solid choices in the last two drafts, 3 if you count Ariza. Let's hope the guys can suck it up and at least play hard the rest of the way. That should leave them with a good feeling going into the summer and next season.

It's interesting watching the psychology of this team. They are anywhere from 5 to 7 games under .500 for most of the season and as soon as dope head extends Thomas contract, they end up 12 games under all of the sudden. And now that the season is almost over, they come out playing like a bunch of all-stars. It's a typical senario, one I've seen many, many times before with these different Knick teams, going all the way back to the Spree and Camby years. Hell' I'd take it all the way back to the Ewing teams. Never getting it done when it really mattered and getting it done when it was too late. Just typical. Sorry to rain on your rare parade.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Yeah, maybe if Ward wasn't such a racist, we might of actually won a championship.

So it is your feeling that extending Isiah's contract is what caused them to lose games?

Or perhaps there were some other factors?

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

When you have that kind of money...I doubt it would even be a concern.

In other news...he's still cute.

LOL....anyone see Nate purposely knock what looked like a small ball out of the ball boys hands as he was walking off the court? Too funny.

That had me rolling!!!!!!!!!! He gives a hand shake, then slaps the ball boys water bottler out his hand.

Told ya'll don't be hating on NATE, give him some time before you demand him off the team!!!!!!!

I went and re-read what I wrote and I can't see anything other than the facts of what I just wrote. Why' you see something different? I mean for crying out loud, just exactly how much evidence do you need? The evidence is so lopsided, you almost can't avoid noticing it!

I'm a little tired of blaming it all on 'other factors'. The plain fact is that, well simply put, we suck. I mean we just really stink! I would have been morally impressed if they did this the day after they hit the 8th spot. But as soon as they hit it and Zeke got signed, they dropped like a damn rock made of steel. I look foreward to next season, when it comes to the young guys, but until they get out there 'when it counts' and are able to win when we really need those wins, when they are beating those teams that are supposed to be unbeatable, until then, I don't trust this team for anything. Like I said on another post, it's too late for heroics! If they play like this consistently, then I'll be a little more convinced. Don't forget guys, this team just about lost this game and you know damn well that Curry isn't going to ever hit another thrilling three point shot to send it into OT again. This game should have been either a convincing win or should have been a loss. But with the luck of the night, they sent it into OT and were able to pull it out. Good for them, great for them, but can they do it consistently. I'm telling you guys, don't ever settle for anything less on this team. Don't ever be satisfied with a win like this. If they are going to do it this way, then do it 'all of the time' or don't do it at all. I am the biggest devils advocate and I demand a higher level of play and consistency on this team, as well as from this stupid management! Love my critizism or not, this is were I stand.

You've convinced me. It was Isiah's contract that caused the losing streak...it's all so clear now.

Dont worry yourself...not worth $120 mill dwelling on the past :)

Allan, like any signing, was an investment. As with any investment...it could work out...it could blow up in your face. Still, signing Houston makes tons more sense than the $30 mil for the likes of Jerome James and many other useless players we've paid throughout the years.

You seem like a nice guy. I remember clear to this day. If we didn't give Houston that contract, then we clearly had a shot at Kobe at the time. Chris Webber for sure. Also, it wasn't like anyone else was threatening to sign Houston either. It was another emotional move on Dolan's part to give him the money, that sent us into outer space, so far away from any solution. And how bout that Larry contract. That was just about as bad. I mean I must be really stupid not to be able to figure out just exactly what those 'investments' were at the time. I still' can't to this day! It just burns me up, yes' to this day when I think of it. This brass has made just wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too many stupid, stupid mistakes to even laugh at. It was a damn crime!

Nope, can't let it go.
