TOTAL B.S. YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT IF A KNICK HAD TRIED THAT CRAP THEY WOULDN'T HAVE IMMEDIATELY CALLED GOALTENDING! THIS IS THE KIND OF CRAP THAT JUST DRIVES YOU CRAZY. THE KNICKS SHOULD GET AN APOLOGY FROM THE LEAGUE ON THAT ONE. NOT ONLY DID HE COME IN LATE, BUT THEN IT'S PRACTICALLY OVER THE BASKET WHEN HE FINALLY BLOCKS IT.

To lose that way is just crazy. Now with regard to the game. There are some things that just MUST be done. Someone needs to tell Nate to FOCUS on his damn job. He is the main culprit in letting Nelson get those open 3's. He was the one who let Nelson keep getting those rebounds off the missed FT's. You HAVE to block you man out in that situation. you can't just let him run in 2 times to get a miss like that.

I don't want to seee Francis anymore. To heck with him. Just let the kids play. HE'S GARBAGE!!!!

It wasn't a clear cut goal tend. It was very close and when you play hard you get benefit. Can't wait for Isiah's words of wisdom after this game. He'll make 5 different excuses.

I wonder if Dolan is rethinking his decision to hand out Isiah's extension (such bad timing) at this moment...

What makes you think he can think?

You guys think about it... Dolan, likely anticipating this kind of fallout after 40% of the rotation goes down at once, did not want to have to make the decision as to bringing Zeke back after 82 games, but rather at the best possible time when people could hardly question him (the knicks had just clinched 8th).
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I'm completely in agreement. But truth be told, like you said, the missed free throws and the reckless play probably wouldn't have put us in that situation to begin with.

Nixluva I respect your unfailing support of those team and eternal optimism but now your just sounding like a enabling parent of a bad kid. The Knicks did not deserve to win this game. They had more than ample chances to win Orlando had over 10 TURNOVERS IN THE SECOND HALF ALONE. A half way decent team would run away with that kind of number. Not to mention the amount of free throws that were missed through the entire game. When your in a tight playoff race and assuming your team that is willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to make that happen you capitalize off of games such as this not blow it.

HEY did I miss something or were we playing with 2 of our rookies getting major minutes? THIS IS NOT THE FULL TEAM!!!! It's not like the guys who are getting the minutes now can replace the shooting, penetrating, rebounding, passing and knowlegde of the 3 guys we're missing. WHEN WILL THAT EVER SINK IN WITH SOME OF YOU GUYS? IF the guys who are replacing Lee, Q and Jamal were just as good they'd probably be avg'ing 30 mins a game like those 3, but they're NOT as good.

Did you somehow miss thhe rest of the season when Jamal was a key player down the stretch of games along with Lee and Q? Lee and Q alone are good for 18+ rebounds a game. The guys we have left are just not as good. This is why Steph has had to step up his output so much. Just go and look at the games steph has posted without the other guys being here. You can see that he's trying to replace a lot of scoring just to give us a chance.

two timeouts...why weren't they used. did zeke draw up the play for nate? we needed a 3.

injuries to Jamal, Q and Lee...esp the perimeter players, are killing us. Crawford = reliable FT shooter and very good crunch time player. CAN CREATE HIS OWN SHOT. Q is good from the perimeter and ok on FTs. but the missed D-rebounds and o-boards is where dave is missed. plus, Lee is a decent FT shooter. Isiah shoulda bought Francis out.

Contract extension is a CURSE. its bad karma for Dolan. So quick to extend a coach and on the same note, fire coaches (not just LB, but cheney too). Not because there is no incentive, but this kind of thing bites the organization in the ass. They had a built-in excuse with the injuries to JC and the others...cmon your 2nd leading scorer (actually #1 scorer when he starts/#2 in apg, and crunchtime playmaker) and your best rebounder and #5 scorer who can also make plays are BOTH out...the excuse is there. Q has a bad back so I cannot include him because he will never play a full season...maybe at most 2/3 of a season.

Welcome to the Ides of March...et tu Brute?

Nix, I thought this team had such great depth and it was never going to be a concern if people got injured?

Who ever said it was NEVER going to be a concern. Usually when people speak of a team being deep, they mean for special short term situations, such as big Foul trouble or injury to a player or two for a short time. VERY FEW teams have backups that are equal to the starters and can just roll along. In our case we have a lot of young guys that have done well for their level of development, but they aren't the equal of Lee, one of the best rebounders in the league. Q and Jamal who are our best perimeter shooters etc. Surely you're not trying to equate the guys we have left with them?

I'm trying to think of a team that would do well without 3 of it's top players. There are only a few that can do that and it would depend on which players you're taking off the roster. For the Knicks Lee is irreplaceable. There are few guys in the NBA who are as good on the boards and efficient on scoring.
Jamal was our 2nd leading scorere and assist men. He was also one of our best crunchtime performers. Q was our best perimeter shooter and a great rebounder and solid defender. All 3 guys avg. 30 or more mins a game for us. You're talking about replacing 42 points, 21 rebs and 8.5 asts a night.

DON'T TRY TO TRIVIALIZE THAT LOSS!

Don't try to trivialize tonight's loss.

Yep. This is pretty much why Dolan made the announcement when he did. The Knicks anticipated a let down.
