I love these thread commending ignorant fans that have their blinders on, unfortunately yesterday was one of the worst days in franchise history. This team is run by perhaps the worst owner in all of sports. He can't even make an announcement at the right time. And just for the record what person in their right mind is excited about 45 extra million on top of the cap which actually costs the team 90 million, for a team that hasn't reached its win total of three years ago, is under .500 capped out, and now our chubby center feels relief and that there is pressure off. You want to go to war the next ten years with a player that thinks the pressure is off, in the thick of a playoff race.

I mean you see positives in this season fine, we are playing together the players actually care (big ****ing deal!) Eddy is having his worst all around season of his career but his scoring numbers are up and he commands a double team and doesn't know how to pass out of it. DLee is a stud, Balkman could be a player, Frye and Crawford have been terrible, nate is out of the rotation, jj2 is here to stay and is learning how to shoot correctly after 6 years in the nba, q god bless him is missing games at 26 with a bad back on a consistent basis, but is effective shooting and rebounding when he is out there and our pg finally decided to stop being a child and play ball and save his legacy. Or other pg is an even bigger baby and has been faking an injury becasue he was unhappy about his playing time, and is now healed?

This teams sense of entitlement is disgraceful you should have seen the players that actually showed up last night at the team event. Surprise, surprise the only one with remote class was DLee. Marbury showed up an hour late, Francis balled at the last minute, jefferies got up and left half way through, no sign of balkman, crawford, eddy, malik, jerome, q, nate had all to do to be friendly. We need to turn over this team immedialty and bring in players that get what it means to be a knicks

Why not choose another team to root for bro, why constanly bashing your head against a wall. Some of you guys remind me of that guy in the Major League movies

Not sure what you are trying to say...Are you saying just always blindly support what your team does? Just accept horrendous management, and never criticize it?

I'm really beginning to think that the only ones who genuinely care about this team are the ones who are most critical. Everyone else just sort of goes along with it all because, well, they're our beloved Orange and Blue!!

Accept the fact that Dolan has lowered the standards for this franchise to obscene levels, and that pretty much sucks.

So what can be done about it, can the bitching and moaning help? Do you think that Dolan will sell? So I choose to support my team in spite of the other bogus BS all around it; is that such a crime?

Never was my intent. My intent was to acknowledge mistereal for seeing through all the b.s. that is/was being but forth in the original thread. Sometimes you can start a thread and feel left out on an island. I acknowledge him for sticking to what he believes is right. No matter how much hate and "fox news" style analysis is put out there the bottom line is the Knicks are in a better place than they were a year ago. Look the Knicks ain't what we want them to be and ain't what they ought to be but they also ain't what they used to be.
The cliche about crawling before you walk is in place and sure enough a lot of guys will be swearing that they have always been down for the Knicks when all they do is b i t c h.

I'm not a true hater in the Isles sense, but I am one of the more critical voices on this board ... and I am a veteran of the Sparrow, Bannister, Orr days (I go back to the mid-1970s with the Knicks). Hey, don't forget that Sparrow and Orr were key parts of the 1983-84 team that took the Celts to Game 7 of the second round. That was a team coached by a man (Hubie) who got every ounce of talent out of his players.

Anyhoo, while I can also have hope regarding this team, it does not mean I can't at the same time hate the owner and criticize the GM/coach.

I think one of the things that some people on this board forget is that while we all have different opinions and different ways of expressing them, just about everyone who posts here, and certainly those who post regularly, are pretty diehard Knick fans. It's just that some are disgruntled diehards, and others are satisfied diehards.
