I wonder if we would have won tonite if BDiddy and Sjax played. Monta Ellis kind of sucks too. I though that kid was supposed to be all that.

Nah Monta doesn't suck. That kid is gonna be an ALL STAR!!! Do you see his confidence, skill and athletic ability. He may not even be done growing yet. He's got the goods.

Nah Monta is the best playa in the league. I say we pay an arm and leg for him right now. Soon he should be 6'-11' at 320 pounds, ready to knock Shaq around.
I'll never trust this' team again.

we played this game like we played any other game...regardless of the opposition.

this team will never go on a big win streak b/c they play no defense.

we will score. we will have 3 players in the 20's in scoring. but if we can't stop anybody, then the opponent will always be in the game and it will come down to the final few minutes.

Well now, someone talking some sense here. That is just one of our problems. It's a start though.

Saw the game tonight, but I'm sick as a dog. Just wanted to post "good game Knicks"

That is all.

Man I don't think you're viewing this properly. For one thing the Warriors avg 105ppg and we held them to 97. The problem the Knicks have isn't that they don't play any D. It's that they're inconsistent with it. How often this year has this team gotten back into games after being down large deficits? Part of that has to do with the Knicks actually defending well for stretches of time. They just don't do it every possesion of every game. We have some poor defenders mixed in with some decent defenders and as a unit we aren't always in synch. I think in time this team will get much better defensively. It may not come this season, but I think this team will eventually improve.

We don't have many players who play good o and good d. Q can do this; Marbury has started to do it too. But there aren't enough. So when you have the good defensive players on the court - guys like JJ2, Balkman, Collins and Rose, it weakens the offense. If they're not out there, the defense suffers.

Steph's at a point in his career where he can score by attacking the basket only against teams with poor interior defense. He used to be so quick that regardless of who was on defense in the paint, Steph would beat the player to the position and at least draw a foul. Now, top defenders get there before he does. He's still our best player at driving, but he's definitely slower. I guess most players would be ready to retire after 11 years of 40 mpg without missing many games, though.

yeah he definitely has lost that 1st step because of his knees. same with stevie francis. even the difference from last year is noticeable and he wasn't very quick last year. the difference between Marbs and Francis though is that Marbury's tendinitis forced him to relearn other areas of his game. He's passing better, shooting 3's better, making better decisions in terms of making momentum plays to control the game, and playing better defense. francis hasn't really done that, although he hasn't had much of a chance with his bum knees.

the funny thing is that last night steve francis was getting into the paint at will. here's a guy who's knees were in such bad shape that a week ago was rumored to be considering retirement, and yet he shot like 6 free throws off of dribble penetration because GS's defense is so horrible
^precocious neophyte.

I think Walt could have gotten into the paint at will last night GS's defense was so bad!
